By doing this, everything would be stored, including broadcast stations unnecessary to the user and service IDs not favored by the user, which would be inefficient.
- the invention includes the third channel selection mode as one of the already mentioned plurality of channel selection modes.
- This third channel selection mode is comprised of the processing for searching for and registering only freely selected broadcast stations among the plurality of broadcast stations of digital broadcasts when the broadcast waves are digital broadcasts and processing for searching for and registering not only the broadcast stations but also the freely selected service IDs among the plurality of service IDs provided by the broadcast stations.
