Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a transport system for luggage, in particular a so-called wheeled suitcase or trolley with detachable or exchangeable luggage elements.
  • Wheeled cases which are also referred to as boardcases or trolleys, usually have a luggage case, on the bottom side of which rollers are arranged. At the top usually a retractable telescopic handle is provided for transport.
  • Such trolleys are known. They have the advantage over conventional suitcases that they can be transported rolling and therefore represent a lower burden for the user.
  • a trolley can not be rolled, for example, when transporting over stairs or in rough terrain, usually additional handles are provided on one or more sides of the suitcase, so that the trolley can also be worn like a conventional suitcase.
  • the telescopic handle is not a hindrance in these cases, it is usually designed to be retractable and can be retracted so far that it no longer protrudes beyond the outer periphery of the suitcase.
  • On the luggage case are still often one or more front pockets attached, which are closed, for example, by zippers or designed as open pockets.
  • the luggage case itself may consist of a single piece of luggage or be constructed modularly from several case elements. Often, the luggage case consists of a certain compliant fabric or synthetic material.
  • the luggage or suitcase elements of a roll case or trolleys represent relatively uncritical components in terms of manufacturing technology. Depending on the customer target group, they can consist of relatively inexpensive plastic materials, but also of high-quality synthetic materials, fabrics or even leather.
  • the rolling device which consists essentially of a wheel assembly and connected to the wheel assembly pulling device comprising the above-mentioned telescopic handle consists.
  • the wheel assembly and the case member are already assembled by the manufacturer of the suitcase to a unit no longer detachable by the user.
  • Wheeled cases are now offered for a variety of purposes. For example, there are roller cases whose case elements have been specially optimized for use as a travel case. Other wheeled cases are more geared to the needs of business people and can accommodate computer systems or printers so that the wheeled case can be used as a mobile office. Still other wheeled cases are specially designed for use in the leisure or sports field.
  • the present invention is therefore based on the idea to provide a transport system for luggage, in particular a wheeled suitcase, which is versatile and in which different pieces of luggage can be combined with one and the same rolling device.
  • Such a baggage transport system comprising a rolling device and at least one item of luggage, wherein the rolling device comprises a wheel assembly, a towing device and fastening means for releasably connecting the item of luggage with the rolling device is described, for example, in German Utility Model DE 29713 078 U1.
  • the piece of luggage can be releasably connected to the rolling device by means of a latching device.
  • the locking device is mechanically but relatively complicated and therefore expensive to manufacture.
  • the known transport system for luggage has the disadvantage that unauthorized persons operate the arranged on the telescopic handle locking device and can entenden the case element. Even when transporting the roller case of DE 297 13 078 U1 on automatic conveyor belts may lead to an unwanted release of the locking device.
  • German Patent DE 43 00 327 C2 describes a transport system for a briefcase which comprises a rolling device and a briefcase which can be fastened detachably to the rolling device by means of a clamping strap.
  • the attachment mechanism for the briefcase is relatively simple in the example described there, but also here is no reliable backup option for the bag.
  • the present invention is therefore an object of the invention to provide a transport system for luggage that allows a reliable and theft-proof releasable attachment of one or more pieces of luggage or case elements to a trolley-like rolling device by a simple and inexpensive attachment mechanism.
  • the transport system according to the invention is intended to provide in particular a roller case, which realizes a unit of rolling device and case elements in aesthetic terms.
  • a transport system for luggage which comprises a rolling device and at least one piece of luggage or a case element, wherein the rolling device comprises a wheel assembly, a pulling device and fastening means for releasably connecting the luggage item with the rolling device.
  • the transport system according to the invention is characterized in that the fastening means on the one hand connected to the rolling device and on the other hand are fixable in an interior of the luggage or one of the case elements.
  • the fastening means are fixedly connected to the rolling device and can be guided by the user via adapted to the dimensions of the fastening means passages in an interior of the luggage and fastened there.
  • the combination lock may be a simple padlock or a locking system integral with the case member or the frame of the case. But for the authorized user, it is possible in a simple manner to open the case and to release the straps. The user can therefore quickly convert the Roffenkoffer in a suitcase and vice versa, or attach another case element to the wheeled case as desired. With a single rolling device so different wheeled suitcases and suitcases combinations can be realized. The cost of a single Rollvonichtung and several interchangeable case elements are much lower than the cost of several complete wheeled suitcase.
  • Pieces of luggage or case elements with the transport system according to the invention usable.
  • the pieces of luggage must only be designed so that the fastening means of the rolling device can engage in the interior of the luggage, where they are fixed by the user.
  • the fastening means comprise at least one tether or rope which can be inserted into the interior of the item of luggage by openings cut out in a rear wall of the item of luggage.
  • the tether is then fixed in the interior of the luggage.
  • the openings in the rear wall of the item of luggage may be formed, for example, as slots whose dimensions are based on the dimensions the retaining straps is adapted.
  • the slots can be provided with elastic sealing lips, which lie close to the straps.
  • the sealing lips also provide a substantial seal of the interior of the luggage when it is used without the rolling device in the manner of a suitcase or a shoulder bag.
  • the trained as holding straps fasteners represent a simple and inexpensive to produce and above all easy to handle system to releasably attach the bag to the rolling device.
  • the user only needs to open the bag, to solve one end of the straps in the interior of the bag and the bag to remove from the rolling device.
  • the straps slide through the openings or slots out and the rolling device and the luggage are separated.
  • the user can now for example attach another piece of luggage to the same rolling device by bringing the slots of the new piece of luggage close to the straps, introduces the straps from the outside into the slots, then attracts and fixes the straps in the interior of the bag.
  • the tether is at least partially formed in the insertable into the interior of the luggage area as a Velcro strip, which can cooperate with attached to an inner surface of the rear wall of the luggage Velcro strip.
  • Velcro and “Velcro strips” are meant in the present context quite generally the cooperating, complementary parts of the hook and loop fastener.
  • the strap can be particularly easily fixed by the user in the interior of the luggage and also solved again.
  • the fastening means comprise at least one push button, which has a lower part attached to the rolling device and a detachable upper part, wherein the lower part can be inserted into the interior of the item of luggage by openings cut out in a rear wall of the item of luggage.
  • the lower part may have an elongated pin which projects through the opening in the rear wall of the luggage in its interior. The opening is then, for example, a small hole whose diameter is only slightly larger than the diameter of the pin. From the interior of the baggage ago this pin is locked by the upper part of the push button, wherein the upper part has a larger diameter than the diameter of the hole in the rear wall of the luggage.
  • this attachment system is inexpensive to produce and easy to handle.
  • the upper part of the push button on the lower part can be locked by a closure lock and forms a kind Safety lock that can only be solved by operating the lock.
  • a closure lock is sold, for example, by the company. Happich vehicle and Industriemaschine GmbH under the registered trademark TENAX.
  • the rolling device has a substantially horizontal base plate, which ensures a support of the luggage.
  • the piece of luggage for attachment to the rolling device is first deposited on the bottom plate.
  • the fastening means such as the straps led through openings in the luggage in the interior, as far as possible tightened and fixed.
  • the bottom plate usually also the wheel assembly of the rolling device is provided.
  • the bottom plate then serves as a support for the complete wheeled suitcase and may have, for example, rubber studs of suitable length on its underside.
  • the bottom plate also includes an extendable platform, which guarantees additional stability when parking the roller case.
  • the fastening means may also comprise suitable retaining means which substantially accommodate the weight of the luggage or luggage elements.
  • the holding means do not need to intervene inside the luggage.
  • the holding means may be, for example, a web provided on the rolling device, against which a complementary projection of the item of luggage comes into contact.
  • the fastening means comprise at least one snap-in socket into which a complementary hook attached to the rear wall of the item of luggage can engage.
  • This holding system then substantially carries the weight of the item of luggage, so that a bottom plate (with or without extendable form) need not necessarily be provided.
  • the bottom plate in these cases advantageously serves as an additional support, which prevents deformation of the case element under high load.
  • the rolling device of the transport system according to the invention on a substantially vertically oriented back plate, which carries the fastening means, ie in particular the straps and the snap-in bushes.
  • the back plate is preferably fixedly connected to the telescopically extendable handle system of the traction device.
  • the telescopic handle can also be integrated into the back plate, so that on the one hand, the sensitive telescopic mechanism is protected and on the other hand, an aesthetically pleasing rear end surface of the roller case is formed.
  • the back plate and the bottom plate are particularly preferably formed in one piece. Back plate and bottom plate may be formed, for example, as an injection molded part or a pressed or drawn plastic part.
  • the wheel assembly is particularly preferably arranged in the connection region of the back plate and the bottom plate. According to a variant of the transport system according to the invention, the wheel assembly when folding the telescopic handle can be folded, as described in more detail in the applicant's International Patent Application PCT / EP99 / 03232, for example.
  • the back plate is formed as a preformed, the contour of the rear wall of the luggage substantially adapted shell.
  • the shell-like design of the back plate gives the luggage an additional lateral support.
  • the case members are made of a relatively soft material, it is preferable to use a stable shell of a rigid plastic material so that the case members are protected and the roller case as a whole has sufficient stability.
  • the tray edge the bag (or more case elements) partially embrace, so that the roller case thus formed appears as an integrated unit of rolling device and luggage elements. This variant is superior in terms of aesthetics in particular conventional transport aids with detachable luggage elements.
