Definitions

  • the invention relates to a centrifugal wheel arrangement for the surface treatment of workpieces, comprising a centrifugal wheel which has a plurality of throwing vanes arranged radially thereon, a distributor wheel arranged coaxially to the centrifugal wheel and an adjustable beam guide pulse which is likewise arranged coaxially to the latter and with which the direction of the processing jet can be adjusted a window of the beam guide pulses is controlled.
  • centrifugal wheel arrangement which is provided with an external or internal sensor for determining the wear and the wear direction on the window of the beam guiding pulse.
  • the sensor is connected to an electronic control circuit. If the sensor responds due to wear, an angular adjustment of the beam guide pulses can be triggered via an actuator.
  • This centrifugal wheel arrangement has proven itself for most applications because it allows automatic control of the control edge, which is continuously removed during operation.
  • the guide sleeve opening is enlarged overall due to the wear of the control edge. Although greater wear can be observed at the control edge, a rear boundary edge of the guide sleeve opening which is parallel to the control edge is also exposed to the abrasive and wears out. Overall, the beam area increases with increasing service life of the guide sleeve. If the opening angle of the guide sleeve opening reaches a certain dimension, it is no longer possible to direct the jet into the free angle between two turbine blades, so that the uncontrolled blasting agent can ultimately lead to self-destruction of the turbine.
  • the beam guiding pulse must therefore be continuously monitored for reaching this state of wear and replaced in good time, so that considerable downtimes of the centrifugal wheel arrangement have to be accepted.
  • An arrangement of sensors in the control edge is also not possible with beam guide sleeves made of sintered metal, although this material is advantageous due to its long service life.
  • a centrifugal wheel arrangement of the type mentioned at the outset which is characterized by a beam limiting sleeve arranged concentrically with the beam guiding pulse, which can be rotated relative to the beam guiding pulse and which has a limiting sleeve opening with a beam limiting edge which at least extends into the guide sleeve opening of the beam guiding pulse partially covering position is adjustable.
  • two coaxial sleeves are provided which can be placed one inside the other and which both have window-like openings on their circumference, which allow blasting material to be guided from a distributor wheel located within the two sleeves into the free angle between two turbine blades.
  • the opening angle and the opening height increase with constant wear, since the edges of the guide sleeve opening and the limiting sleeve opening are removed by the blasting agent.
  • the enlarged opening area also changes the spray pattern of the centrifugal arrangement on the workpiece.
  • the jet limit tion sleeves are rotated relative to the beam guiding pulses until a part of the circumference of the beam limiting sleeve covers part of the beam guiding pulses. Instead of the rear boundary edge of the beam guiding pulse, the beam boundary edge of the beam boundary sleeve then limits the opening angle for the exit of the blasting medium.
  • the exit window is defined by the overlap of the window-like openings in the two sleeves.
  • the guide sleeve opening and the delimitation sleeve opening preferably have the same opening angle and the same opening height, so that they have to be brought into a starting position in which they overlap. This means that the maximum opening area is available at the start of operation with new sleeves.
  • the beam limiting sleeve is axially displaceable relative to one another with respect to the beam guiding pulse. This can compensate for a further enlargement of the opening area, which is due to wear of the arc edges running along the circumference of the guide or limiting sleeve opening. An axial displacement of the beam guide pulses relative to the beam limiting sleeve pushes one of the arc edges over the opening, which changes the opening height.
  • the window opening for the blasting agent outlet can also be completely closed.
  • the centrifugal wheel arrangement can already be moved over workpiece areas that are not to be blasted, or the workpiece can be removed from the effective range of the centrifugal wheel. Remnants of blasting agent that are still emitted by the outgoing distributor wheel are retained at the closed guide sleeve opening.
  • An adjustment of the beam guide pulses and / or the beam limiting sleeve is relatively easy, since these parts do not rotate with the centrifugal wheel itself.
  • the beam guiding pulses can be adjusted according to a predetermined signal sequence to such an extent that the removal of their control edge is compensated for.
  • the beam limiting sleeve and the adjustment of its beam limiting edge can be adjusted according to a predetermined signal sequence to such an extent that the removal of their control edge is compensated for.
  • a further advantageous embodiment of the invention provides for the arrangement of at least one external or internal sensor for determining the wear and the wear direction in the guide sleeve opening of the beam guiding pulse and / or a window opening in the beam limiting sleeve.
  • the sensor is connected to an electronic control circuit. If the sensor responds due to wear, an angular adjustment of the beam guiding pulse and / or the beam limiting sleeve can be triggered by at least one actuator in each case.
