- Method according to Claim 14, characterized in that data relating to service and repair work is also stored on the motor-vehicle-end data storage card.
- Method according to Claim 14 or 15, characterized in that the access operations to the motor-vehicle-end data storage card are logged and have to be authorized.
- Method according to one of Claims 14 to 16, characterized in that the scope of the data which is to be stored, in particular of the data relating to operating parameters can be defined dynamically as a function of signal patterns and external control commands which are transmitted to a workshop by means of mobile data communication or programming.
- Method according to one of Claims 14 to 17, characterized in that all of the data, or any desired subset of the data, stored on the motor-vehicle-end data storage card can be transmitted to a central location within the scope of an authentication/authorization process.
- Method according to one of Claims 14 to 17, characterized in that any desired contents of stored data, in particular statistical data about the motor vehicle, technical service information or operating instructions, can be updated within the scope of an authorization process.
- Method for the use of the data which is stored in accordance with the arrangement according to one of Claims 1 to 13 or in accordance with the method according to one of Claims 14 to 19, characterized in that a detailed insight into the field behaviour of motor vehicles is determined over a specific time period and/or the life cycle of the motor vehicle and/or preventive repair information is determined by means of the central evaluation of stored data, in particular load profiles which are required from jointly stored data, and fault codes and repair information which is determined on board.
- Method for using the data which is stored in accordance with the arrangement according to one of Claims 1 to 13 or in accordance with the method according to one of Claims 14 to 19, characterized in that knowledge relating to product improvements of systems, subsystems and components is acquired, and for the early detection of quality problems, by means of the central evaluation of stored data, in particular from jointly stored patterns of load profiles, and fault codes and repair information which is determined on board.
- Method for using the data which is stored in accordance with the arrangement according to one of Claims 1 to 13 or in accordance with the method according to one of Claims 14 to 19, characterized in that incorrect repair strategies are detected and knowledge for improving technical service information is acquired by means of the central evaluation of stored data, in particular of fault codes and repair information which is determined on board.
