- the valve is closed and the burnt gases expand in the combustion chamber. It follows that the volume of the deformable pocket increases and that the pressure of the burnt gases at high temperature generates a large tensile force on the crankshaft 10 via the movable end piece 2 and the braid 4. This is thus passed from top dead center to bottom dead center.
- the deformable pocket can be completely waterproof, thus eliminating any dynamic sealing.
