Description
The invention relates to a method of distribution of letters according to the preambles of the independent claim.
Postgut zufrieden gibt. In mail sorting systems, postal items are placed in series with several Sorting processes and then sorted into a variety of stacking areas filed. It is often neither desired nor out possible for practical reasons, for every smallest class of a sorting process to provide a separate sorting compartment. For example, if that Postal items in the order in which they are delivered by the Postman should be sorted, not a separate one for each mail recipient Sorting tray used. Rather, the mail is in the same Sequence in which it is later delivered by the deliverer during his distribution process is distributed to a certain number of stacking compartments. Within Each sorting compartment is the mail item according to the prescribed Order arranged so that with appropriate arrangement the stacking compartments the entire postal item according to the given Overall sequence is arranged. To sort with a to be able to make do with a relatively small number of stacking compartments, the mail is therefore multiple and possibly indirect sorted; a corresponding method is described in DE-OS 43 02 231. In such processes or devices, in which case the distribution sequence for the smallest and last class one Sorting is sorted, however, is the number of sorting and the throughput time is longer than with such methods and devices, which only sort up to the penultimate class and one with a sequence disordered in this penultimate sort class satisfied with letters or postal items.
The object of the present invention is therefore a method specify with which on the last machine sorting for the wide consignments of the respective sorting class can be dispensed with.
The task is characterized by the features of the independent claim solved. Advantageous embodiments of the invention are in the subclaims, from the description and the drawings.
The invention is based on the fact that for the letters that one belong to the given sort class, each letter when reading a label is assigned to the address information in order to Position of the assigned letters in a letter stack to indicate that each means of identification is an element of a predetermined sequence of distribution positions is assigned and that a display of the assignment of the labeling means to the elements the sequence of distribution positions. This makes it possible to the last mechanical sorting process for the letters of the respective To dispense with sorting class, so that a shortening of the Total throughput time for letter sorting is reached. It is advantageous doing the given sequence of distribution position according to the Arrange the order of distribution for deliveries of letters as well as a display printout or a display the assignment of the means of identification to the elements of the Sequence of distribution items.
It is particularly simple to use as a means of identification ascending or descending to use numbered cards made of cardboard or plastic as well as a predetermined number of letters together with the to arrange appropriate marking means in a stack. The Stack is advantageously placed in a container or in one by a delivery person portable bag. The letters are sorted in such a way that delivery persons stop at the Distribution positions, the letters assigned to the container takes, the positions of the assigned letters in the Stack is displayed by the associated label.
In EP-A-0 661 105 the automatic order is sorted of broadcasts in two classes, e.g. Regular mail and Registered mail, with the help of a sequence sorting machine described. To identify registered mail e.g. these additional means of identification, e.g. colored cards, assigned so that attention of the deliverer on these registered items to be acknowledged is judged.
In the following the invention with the help of drawings on a Embodiment explained in more detail.

In the method according to the invention, pre-sorting is generally carried out letters in sorting classes. Basically, too a separation with subsequent reading of the address and stacking in only one stacking compartment possible. In this case, the shipments will not pre-sorted. The sorting is then done electronically, as below described. Generally are pre-sorted within the last The mail items are not sorted according to the sequence of the Distribution positions arranged, d. H. in particular that the shipments are not arranged in the order in which they are later delivered by the deliverer be distributed during its distribution process. At the latest before last sorting step, through which the mail items into a predetermined Sort class are sorted, each letter is a means of identification assigned to the position of the assigned letter to be marked in a stack of letters.
For this purpose, the means of identification are included in the stream of mail with a Feeder 22 inserted. A suitable device for labeling assign to each letter, z. B. a double substance input, alternating between two separate stacks Piece is pulled off and the pieces one after the other, like a zipper, be brought together for a common transport.
For this purpose, the device which is not shown here is read Address information, which is applied to the letters, used. The address information can also be in the form of Barcode markings must be applied to the mailings.
vorgenommen. As a result, the letters are stacked together

No letter position is assigned to the 2nd stop, i. H. there is none distributing letter. Stop no. 3 are the four programs with assigned to positions 287, 1934, 349 and 12. Through this assignment between the stop numbers and the letter positions it is the deliverer very easily possible during the delivery process to the individual Identify distribution items or stops belonging to mail items and remove from the stack. There is thus a sorting of the Mail through the postman, by stopping the respective at his stops Takes letters from their positions.
The stacks of letters are advantageously accommodated in containers, e.g. B. box-like containers with a rectangular outline or in portable Bags.
