Definitions

  • the invention relates to a device for storing strand-like material, flexible rods, cables or wires.
  • DE-C-3031570 discloses a device for picking up and pulling off a flexible, strand-like material. This device is used for pulling cables or other electrical lines into cable ducts or empty conduits that are laid in the walls of buildings. The cable is pulled in such a way that an elastic glass fiber rod is first pushed through from one point of the cable protection tube to a desired other point. Then the cable to be drawn in is attached to the end of the elastic glass fiber rod and the glass fiber rod with the attached cable is pulled back through the cable protection tube, so that the cable now extends over the selected length of the cable protection tube inside.
  • the glass fiber rod used here is a flexible, strand-like material, the inherent tension of which strives to keep the glass fiber rod stretched.
  • This effect is used in the known device, which has a housing made of two essentially symmetrical shell-shaped halves. The case has about the shape and size of a thickened disc disc, which is known from sports.
  • a storage drum is rotatably mounted on a central axis inside the housing. The shape of the storage drum is adapted to the discus-like housing.
  • the glass fiber rod can be inserted into the interior of the rotor through an opening in one of the two shell-shaped halves and through a circular recess in the opposite side wall of the rotor are, so that due to the inherent internal stress on the inner surface of the outer region of the rotor it winds and can be withdrawn from this storage space in the opposite direction.
  • This small, handy device has proven itself extremely well in practice, particularly when it comes to electrical installation in buildings. Due to the inherent tension of the glass fiber rod, a certain bending radius must be maintained, because if the bending radius is undershot, permanent deformations or even kinks occur, which then not only hinder the storage process, but also question the use of the glass fiber rod when inserted into an empty tube or make it impossible .
  • the invention is therefore based on the object to provide a device for storing any strand-like material, in which the cost of materials and thus also the manufacturing costs can be kept very low in relation to the usable storage space.
  • a self-contained, annular housing tube is provided, in which a likewise annular storage tube is rotatably guided, and in that the housing tube has an opening for the tangential insertion and extraction of the strand-like material and the storage tube is one of the position Have opening corresponding circular slot for the passage of the strand-like material.
  • the devices of different sizes are easier to handle, in particular easier to carry.
  • the craftsman can simply grip the casing tube and, for example, simply carry larger devices on the shoulder or roll on the floor like a wheel.
  • Figure 1 illustrates a particularly simple embodiment of a device for storing strand-like material
  • the storage device 1 consists of a self-contained circular Housing tube 2 and a likewise circular storage tube 3, which is rotatably guided in the housing tube 2.
  • the right half of FIG. 1 shows an external view, the upper left quarter a top view of the storage tube 3, with the upper housing tube part removed, and the lower left quarter shows a central section through the housing tube 2 and the storage tube 3.
  • this is provided with an opening 4 for the tangential insertion and extraction of the strand-like material 6.
  • FIG. 1 illustrates a particularly simple embodiment of a device for storing strand-like material
  • the storage device 1 consists of a self-contained circular Housing tube 2 and a likewise circular storage tube 3, which is rotatably guided in the housing tube 2.
  • the right half of FIG. 1 shows an external view, the upper left quarter a top view of the storage tube 3, with the upper housing tube part removed, and the lower left quarter shows a central section through the housing
  • the storage tube 3 has a circular slot 5 corresponding to the position of the opening 4 for the passage of the strand-like material.
  • the inner end and then the windings lie against the wall of the storage tube, the mere friction being sufficient to set the storage tube inside the housing tube in rotation.
  • the strand-like material 6 consists in a manner known per se from a glass fiber rod with the known properties explained above.
  • the glass fiber rod has a head 7 at the outer end, which is dimensioned so large that it cannot pass through the opening 4.
  • FIG. 1 illustrates the principle of the device according to the invention
  • Figure 2 shows in section along section line II-II in Figure 1 as an embodiment further construction details.
  • the housing tube 2 and the storage tube 3 have a circular cross section.
  • the housing tube 2 and the storage tube 3 each consist of two shell halves 8 and 9 or 16, 17 which are symmetrical with respect to a central plane 91 which runs perpendicular to the plane of the drawing and which are connected to one another at least on the associated outer edges.
  • the shell halves 8, 9 of the housing tube 2 have flanges 10 and 11 or 12 and 13 running radially outwards and inwards at the adjacent edges.
  • the flanges can be provided with holes 14 and 15 distributed over the circumference, so that the shell halves are connected to each other by means of screws passed through them. Suitable quick fasteners can also be provided instead of the screws.
  • the formation of the housing tube 2 from two shell halves and their connection by screws or quick-release fasteners not only has the advantage of simplifying production, but it is also possible in this way to simply replace the entire storage tube 3 with the strand material 18 stored therein against another storage tube in which another strand material, for example with a greater length and smaller cross section, is located.
  • roller bearings in particular ball bearings 19 and 20
  • roller bearings 19 and 20 are arranged on the periphery between the housing tube 2 and the storage tube 3 .
  • FIG. 3 shows a partial section of another, likewise simply constructed exemplary embodiment, annular projections 23 and 24 being provided on the outer circumference of the storage tube 3 in the parting plane or central plane 91 and corresponding annular recesses 21 and 22 being provided in the opposite inner wall of the housing tube 2.
  • the projections 23, 24 and recesses 21 and 22 expediently have a mutually adapted trapezoidal cross section.
  • the two shell halves 16 and 17 of the storage tube 3 are connected to one another at the adjacent edges by a suitable adhesive or in another mechanical manner.
  • FIG. 3 shows a constructive variant compared to FIG. 2, in that the opening 4 in the housing tube 2 and the annular slot 5 in the storage tube 3 are not provided on one side of the device but in the area of the central plane 91.
  • FIG. 4 shows a further exemplary embodiment in which plain bearings 25, 26, 27 and 28 are provided between the housing tube 2 and the storage tube 3.
  • These slide bearings expediently consist of annular projections on the inner wall of the shell halves 8, 9 of the housing tube 2. Annular gaps 29, 30, 31 and 32 are then formed between these slide bearings.
  • the sliding bearing surfaces can be coated with a wear-resistant material such as Teflon.
  • the slide bearings 25, 26, 27 and 28 can be formed from narrow, curved crosspieces.
  • FIG. 5 shows a further exemplary embodiment, in which the ball bearings between the housing tube 2 and the storage tube 3 are designed as ball bearing rings 33, 34.
  • the ball bearing rims can be distributed over the circumference at a suitable distance, as is shown, for example, in FIG. 6 in the diagram.
  • FIG. 7 shows a further exemplary embodiment, the ball bearing rings 33 and 34 each consisting of two ball bearing shells 37, 38, 39 and 40 which are fastened to the inner wall of the housing tube 2.
  • the parting plane between these ball bearing shells runs in the central plane 91.
  • the ball bearing shells provide great mechanical strength, in particular pressure resistance, so that the housing tube 2 can have a relatively thin, material-saving wall.
  • the opening 4 in the housing tube can be surrounded by a tangential guide 36 that bulges outwards. If, for reasons of strength, a ball bearing shell 37 is arranged in the area of the opening 4, it must be designed with a corresponding opening 35. In general, however, the ball bearing shells will be arranged at a greater or lesser distance from the opening 4, so that the opening 35 in the ball bearing shell can then also be omitted.
  • Figure 8 shows a similar embodiment as Figure 7, but here the ball bearing shells 41, 42, 43 and 44 are arranged so that their division plane extends transversely to the central plane 91.
  • the parting lines corresponding to the division level are provided with the reference numerals 45 and 46. This construction simplifies assembly because the ball bearing rings 49, 50 and 51 are not glued, but are attached by screws or pins 47 and 48 from the outside.
  • FIG. 9 shows a partial section of a storage tube 3 which has an essentially triangular cross section, the storage tube in turn being composed of two triangular shell halves 52 and 53 with a symmetrical configuration to form a division plane 54.
  • the housing tube which is not shown in FIG. 9 for the sake of simplicity, is then also given a correspondingly adapted shape with a triangular cross section. If the annular slot 56 is provided near the inner tip of the triangular cross section, a large amount of strand material 55 can be accommodated in relation to the space within the storage tube.
  • FIG. 10 shows a partial cross section corresponding to FIG. 9, but here the storage tube 3 has a teardrop-shaped cross section and it again consists of two shell halves 57 and 58 which are symmetrical with respect to the division plane 59.
  • the annular slot 61 is in the lower part of the wall of the shell half 57 provided so that again a large amount of strand material 60 can be stored.
  • Only the part of the shape-adapted housing tube 2 is shown, which has the opening 62 for the passage of the strand material.
  • a holding device 63 for holding the outer end of the strand-like material 6 can advantageously be arranged in the region of the opening 62 of the housing tube.
  • the holding device 63 can, for example, be equipped with a pivotable clamping jaw 64.
  • the holding device it only being important to hold on to the outer end of the strand material so that it does not get inside the storage tube, for example during transport.
  • the drop-shaped cross section an oval or, as described below, a rectangular cross section can also be used can be selected for the housing tube 2 and the storage tube 3.
  • FIG. 11 illustrates a further exemplary embodiment, in which the housing tube 2 has an annular slot 65 through which a projection 66 projects, which is connected at its inner end to the storage tube 3 and carries a crank handle 68 at its outer end.
  • the crank handle 68 is expediently pivotable in and out about a joint 67 in the direction of the arrow 69.
  • a knob can also be rotatably arranged on the extension 66, which e.g. is spherical or pear-shaped and takes up relatively little space and therefore does not, e.g. during transport, it needs to be pivoted inwards.
  • the approach 66 then acts as an axis of rotation for the knob.
  • FIG. 11 shows a further embodiment for guiding the storage tube 3 on the housing tube 2, specifically the housing tube 2 has an annular slot 90 in the region of the central plane 91 and on the inner circumference, through which annular flanges 70 and 71 formed on the storage tube 3 radially protrude inwards.
  • Shells 72 and 73 which are curved outwards can be formed on the ends of these flanges and, as is also illustrated in FIG. 12, are provided with grip holes 74, 75, 76 or 77.
  • the shells 72 and 73 with their grip holes serve to rotate the storage tube within the housing tube.
  • the approach 66 and the crank handle 68 are unnecessary.
  • FIG. 13 shows a similar exemplary embodiment as FIG. 11, but here the crank handle 68 is attached in the outer region of one of the two shells 72 or 73 by means of attachment 66 and joint 67. Instead, the crank handle 68 can also be attached to one of the two flanges 70 or 71.
  • FIGS. 14 and 15 illustrate a further exemplary embodiment of the device according to the invention in a perspective view.
  • the housing tube 2 here has an essentially rectangular cross section.
  • the storage tube is designed accordingly in the interior of the housing tube 2.
  • a housing extension 78 is fastened, which has a storage space 79 which can be closed by a cover 80.
  • the storage space is used to hold accessories known per se.
  • the lid is attached on the one hand by hinges 81 and on the other hand by a closure 82.
  • the housing attachment 78 is provided on the upper side with a handle 83 which leaves a handle opening 84 exposed.
  • crank handle 87 On the side of the housing tube 2 opposite the opening 4, there is an annular slot 85 through which an extension 68 is guided, which is connected to the storage tube at the inner end and is equipped with a crank handle 87 at the outer end. Similar to the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 11, the crank handle 87 can be folded inwards in the direction of the arrow 88. The rotary movement of the storage tube for winding and unwinding the strand material also takes place here by means of the crank handle 87 in the direction of arrow 89.
  • the parts of the devices described above are generally made of a tough, hard plastic that can be molded into injection molds. With larger devices, however, the parts can also be made of metal, preferably light metal.
