Definitions

  • the invention relates to a device for cutting stacked, sheet-like material, with a table, the surface of which is a working field, above which there is a cutting knife and a press beam, behind it an input field for receiving the material to be cut and before that, an output field for receiving the cut material has, with a feed device for the material to be cut.
  • Such a device is known from DE-A-3 101 911.
  • the stack is usually pulled during the edge trimming after an edge cut by the operator who is in the area of the exit field onto the exit field, there rotated by 90 °, pushed back onto the input field and placed there under the cutting knife by means of the feed device, so that the next edge cut can be made, followed by corresponding edge cuts until finally all edges of the stack have been trimmed.
  • Such a method of work requires exhausting manual work, the movement sequences being extremely unfavorable from an ergonomic point of view, since the operator has to pull the heavy item outside of the usual arm range, that is to say with his upper body bent forward, and then turn it. This applies not only to the described edge cuts, but generally when it is necessary to turn the material to be cut in the area of the entry field.
  • a device for cutting stacked paper which has a device for handling the paper stack.
  • This device has a rotating member which can be lowered onto the top of the paper stack and with which the stack can be rotated on the table.
  • a pair of holders is provided for laterally gripping the paper stack in the region of opposite side surfaces, with which the paper stack can be aligned with a feed unit.
  • a gripper system for rotating the material to be cut is provided in the plane of the table surface in the area of the input field, the gripper system having at least one gripper tongs which can be moved parallel and perpendicular to the table surface, with parallel gripping level oriented to the table surface.
  • the gripper system allows everyone in the area of the entrance field work to be carried out fully automatically.
  • the material to be cut can be rotated in connection with edge trimming by means of the gripper system, moreover, the material to be cut can be pulled back in the direction of the feed unit and also advanced in the direction of the cutting knife by means of the gripper system, which considerably simplifies the orderly placement of the stack to be cut becomes.
  • an air nozzle system can be provided in the table, in particular in the area of the input field, in order to reduce the displacement forces. Due to the design according to the invention, the gripper tongs grips the stack to be cut laterally, when using two gripper tongs they can grip the stack on one side or opposite sides.
  • the device has a first support projecting over the input field, the free end of which receives a second support which can be pivoted parallel to the table surface and which in turn receives the gripper tongs movable perpendicular to the table surface.
  • the first beam expediently extends approximately to the middle of the input field, so that the second beam only has to be slightly longer than half the length of the longitudinal extent of the input field.
  • the second carrier is designed to be variable in length, with which travel times of the feed device for the material to be cut can be reduced, since the second carrier moves closer to the stack when the stack is rotated and the carrier movement is superimposed and the feed device follows the same can position adjacent to the cutting knife.
  • the second carrier should receive a gripper carrier which can be displaced perpendicularly to this and parallel to the table surface and in which a lifting element is mounted, to which the gripper tongs are connected. Due to the displaceable mounting of the gripper carrier, the gripper tongs can grip the stack to be cut at different distances from the work area, in particular in the middle of the stack side to be gripped. In addition, it is considered advantageous if the gripper carrier has two spaced apart arranged gripper tongs are connected, which then do not grip the stack in the middle of the stack side, but further outside.
  • the lifting element assigned to the respective gripper tongs for lowering and lifting the gripper tongs should advantageously be designed as a lifting cylinder which is acted upon pneumatically or hydraulically. There is of course also the possibility of moving the gripper tongs by means of a spindle or the like.
  • a preferred embodiment of the invention provides that the projecting carrier is stationary. According to a further embodiment it is provided that the cantilever is displaceable parallel to the longitudinal extension of the cutting knife and press beam.
  • the cantilevered carrier can be connected, for example, to a stand which receives the cutting knife and the press beam. Instead, there is also the possibility that the cantilever beam is connected to a stand arranged behind or next to the starting field. Especially when the carrier is arranged behind the exit field, the gripper tongs can take over the function of the feed device.
  • the first and the second carrier can form a knee joint, with the free end of which is preferably connected to the gripper carrier with the two gripper tongs that can be moved perpendicular to the table surface.
  • the gripper system thus not only has the function of rotating the stack, but also advancing it, or there is even the possibility of using the gripper system to transfer the material to be cut from a peripheral device to the device. If the grippers are movable relative to one another, the gripper system can also have the function of a rotating saddle which compensates for angular position tolerances of the stack.
  • Each gripper tongs expediently has a lower, relative to this stationary gripper tongue and an upper, relative to This gripper tongue movable perpendicular to the table surface by a lifting element, in particular a lifting cylinder.
  • the table in the entrance area should have a trough for receiving the lower gripper tongue.
  • the table in the input field can have lifting cylinders mounted in it, the piston rods of which can be extended out of the table and thus, when the stack to be cut is appropriately positioned, raise it in the edge area so that the lower gripper tongue can be moved under the stack.
  • a special embodiment of the invention provides that the table is provided with at least one side stop which can be lowered or folded down under the table surface for aligning the material to be cut. It is therefore possible to also rotate stacks on the input field of the device whose diagonal is larger than the width of the input field and consequently, when rotating in the area of the corner thereof, protrude beyond the lateral boundary of the input field.

Such a device is known from DE-A-3 101 911. In this case, the stack is usually pulled during the edge trimming after an edge cut by the operator who is in the area of the exit field onto the exit field, there rotated by 90 °, pushed back onto the input field and placed there under the cutting knife by means of the feed device, so that the next edge cut can be made, followed by corresponding edge cuts until finally all edges of the stack have been trimmed. Such a method of work requires exhausting manual work, the movement sequences being extremely unfavorable from an ergonomic point of view, since the operator has to pull the heavy item outside of the usual arm range, that is to say with his upper body bent forward, and then turn it. This applies not only to the described edge cuts, but generally when it is necessary to turn the material to be cut in the area of the entry field.

From WO-A-8 701 066 a device for cutting stacked paper is known which has a device for handling the paper stack. This device has a rotating member which can be lowered onto the top of the paper stack and with which the stack can be rotated on the table. In addition, a pair of holders is provided for laterally gripping the paper stack in the region of opposite side surfaces, with which the paper stack can be aligned with a feed unit.

It is an object of the present invention to further develop a device of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that strenuous manual and ergonomically harmful work when turning the material to be cut, in particular in connection with the edge trimming of the material, is avoided.

The object is achieved in a device of the type mentioned at the outset in that a gripper system for rotating the material to be cut is provided in the plane of the table surface in the area of the input field, the gripper system having at least one gripper tongs which can be moved parallel and perpendicular to the table surface, with parallel gripping level oriented to the table surface.

The gripper system allows everyone in the area of the entrance field work to be carried out fully automatically. Thus, the material to be cut can be rotated in connection with edge trimming by means of the gripper system, moreover, the material to be cut can be pulled back in the direction of the feed unit and also advanced in the direction of the cutting knife by means of the gripper system, which considerably simplifies the orderly placement of the stack to be cut becomes. In addition, an air nozzle system can be provided in the table, in particular in the area of the input field, in order to reduce the displacement forces. Due to the design according to the invention, the gripper tongs grips the stack to be cut laterally, when using two gripper tongs they can grip the stack on one side or opposite sides.

According to a special embodiment of the invention it is provided that the device has a first support projecting over the input field, the free end of which receives a second support which can be pivoted parallel to the table surface and which in turn receives the gripper tongs movable perpendicular to the table surface. The first beam expediently extends approximately to the middle of the input field, so that the second beam only has to be slightly longer than half the length of the longitudinal extent of the input field. In this context, it is considered to be advantageous if the second carrier is designed to be variable in length, with which travel times of the feed device for the material to be cut can be reduced, since the second carrier moves closer to the stack when the stack is rotated and the carrier movement is superimposed and the feed device follows the same can position adjacent to the cutting knife.

In the region of its free end in guides, the second carrier should receive a gripper carrier which can be displaced perpendicularly to this and parallel to the table surface and in which a lifting element is mounted, to which the gripper tongs are connected. The lifting element assigned to the respective gripper tongs for lowering and lifting the gripper tongs should advantageously be designed as a lifting cylinder which is acted upon pneumatically or hydraulically. There is of course also the possibility of moving the gripper tongs by means of a spindle or the like.

A preferred embodiment of the invention provides that the projecting carrier is stationary. According to a further embodiment it is provided that the cantilever is displaceable parallel to the longitudinal extension of the cutting knife and press beam. The cantilevered carrier can be connected, for example, to a stand which receives the cutting knife and the press beam. Instead, there is also the possibility that the cantilever beam is connected to a stand arranged behind or next to the starting field. Especially when the carrier is arranged behind the exit field, the gripper tongs can take over the function of the feed device. In addition, the first and the second carrier can form a knee joint, with the free end of which is preferably connected to the gripper carrier with the two gripper tongs that can be moved perpendicular to the table surface. The gripper system thus not only has the function of rotating the stack, but also advancing it, or there is even the possibility of using the gripper system to transfer the material to be cut from a peripheral device to the device. If the grippers are movable relative to one another, the gripper system can also have the function of a rotating saddle which compensates for angular position tolerances of the stack.

Each gripper tongs expediently has a lower, relative to this stationary gripper tongue and an upper, relative to This gripper tongue movable perpendicular to the table surface by a lifting element, in particular a lifting cylinder. To ensure that the material to be cut can be securely gripped by the gripper tongs, the table in the entrance area should have a trough for receiving the lower gripper tongue. In addition, or in addition, the table in the input field can have lifting cylinders mounted in it, the piston rods of which can be extended out of the table and thus, when the stack to be cut is appropriately positioned, raise it in the edge area so that the lower gripper tongue can be moved under the stack.

Finally, a special embodiment of the invention provides that the table is provided with at least one side stop which can be lowered or folded down under the table surface for aligning the material to be cut. It is therefore possible to also rotate stacks on the input field of the device whose diagonal is larger than the width of the input field and consequently, when rotating in the area of the corner thereof, protrude beyond the lateral boundary of the input field.

The device described in the figures relates to a paper cutting machine forming a structural unit. As described in relation to the first embodiment according to FIGS. 1 to 4, this has, in a known manner, a table 12, the surface of which has a working field 12a, above which a cutting knife 2 and a press beam 3 are located, behind which an input field 12b for receiving the Good 25 or 25 'to be cut and, in front of it, an exit field 12c for receiving the good not shown. A spindle-driven feed saddle 13, which can be moved in the longitudinal extent of the table 12 via the input field 12b, is used to move the material to be cut. The figures also show the machine stand 11 of the paper cutting machine, whose portal 11a arranged above the table 12 receives the cutting knife 2 and the press beam 3 on its underside. The reference number 4 denotes an electric motor flanged to the machine stand 11 for driving the paper cutting machine 1.

As can be seen from the illustration in FIGS. 1 to 3 a gripper system 29 is connected to the portal 11a. In detail, a projecting first carrier 14 is flanged to the portal 11a on the side facing the input field 12b. This extends perpendicular to the portal 11a in the plane of symmetry 5 of the table 12 to almost the center of the table. The free end of the carrier 14 is provided with two jaws 14 arranged parallel to one another, through which a bolt 6 oriented perpendicular to the input field 12b passes. Between the jaws 14, a second support 15 can be pivoted about the bolt 6, which, via locking means (not shown in more detail), is in a first position, shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, in a position parallel to the portal 11a and a second position pivoted by a right angle thereto from the portal 11a Position can be locked (double arrow A in Figure 1). The carrier 15 is formed in two parts, a first tubular carrier element 15a is connected to the free end of the carrier 14 and provided with guide rollers 15b for a further carrier element 15c which can be displaced in the longitudinal direction of the carrier element 15a. A pneumatically operated pivot cylinder 7 engages on the carrier 14 and on the carrier element 15a, with which the carrier element 15a can be pivoted from the position perpendicular to the carrier 14 into the extended position. A pneumatically acting cylinder 16 is arranged between the carrier element 15a and the carrier element 15c and serves to extend or retract the carrier element 15c. The structural conditions with respect to the second carrier 15c are such that there is the possibility of retracting it as far as possible, but on the other hand also extending it so far that it protrudes beyond the side edge 12d of the table 12 and on the other hand extends in the extended position to the feed saddle 13.

The carrier element 15c has in the region of its free end perpendicular to its longitudinal extension and parallel to the input field 12b upper and lower guides 18, in which a gripper carrier plate 17 is slidably mounted. The The gripper carrier plate 17 is displaced via a further pneumatic cylinder 8, which acts on the one hand on the carrier element 15c and on the other hand on a bearing ring 9 of the gripper carrier plate 17. The length of the guides 18 is dimensioned such that the gripper carrier plate 17 - based on the illustration in FIG. 1 - can be moved between a position adjacent to the portal 11a and such a position symmetrically to the center of the entry field. Two gripper receptacles 10 are connected to the gripper carrier plate 17 at a distance from one another. Each has a receptacle running perpendicular to the input field 12b, which passes through a guide rod 21, which in turn receives a gripper pliers 22 at its lower end. In each gripper receptacle 10 there is also a pneumatic lifting cylinder 19 which engages the gripper tongs 22. The gripper tongs 22 have a lower gripper tongue 22a which is fixedly connected to the lower end of the guide rod 21 and the piston rod 19a of the lifting cylinder 19. An upper gripper pliers 22b are provided with two bores, not shown, which pass through the guide rod 21 and the piston rod 19a, a further pneumatic lifting cylinder 20 connected to the guide rod 21 above the upper gripper tongue 22b engages with its piston rod 20a on the upper gripper tongue 22b . The lifting cylinder 20 thus makes it possible to move the upper gripper tongue 22b with respect to the relatively stationary lower gripper tongue 22a and thus to pack or release material 25 to be cut.

It can additionally be seen from FIGS. 1 and 2 that the paper cutting machine 1 has a retractable side ruler 23 in the region of the left side edge 12d of the input field 12b. Adjacent to this side ruler 23, a plurality of lifting cylinders 24 are mounted below the table 12 at the same distance from the side edge 12d, the piston rods 24a of which penetrate through bores (not specified in more detail) in the input field 12b of the table 12 and when the piston rods 24a are extended, as shown in particular in Figure 2, protrude beyond the surface of the table 12.

The device described so far works as follows: after the edge trimming of the narrow edge 25a of the material 25 to be cut, the narrow edge 25a is located in the knife cutting plane 27 and the longitudinal edge 25b of the material 25 to be cut lies against the side ruler 23. The feed saddle 13 is moved into the retracted end position shown in FIG. 1, then the piston rods 24a of the lifting cylinder 24 are extended to such an extent that the material 25 to be cut can be reached under by means of the lower gripper tongue 22a. First, the two grippers 22 are moved down until the lower gripper tongue 22 is at the same level as the gap between the material 25 to be cut and the table 12. The upper gripper tongue 22b has moved away from the lower gripper tongue 22a in accordance with the stack thickness . The carrier element 15c is then inserted into the carrier element 15a until the two gripper tongs 22 completely enclose the stack 25 to be cut. Depending on the length of the stack to be cut, it may be necessary to move the grippers along the guides 18 before insertion into the stack, so that it is ensured that the gripper tongs 22 are positioned symmetrically to the assigned axis of symmetry of the stack 25 to be cut. After the gripper tongs 22 have been closed by lowering the gripper tongue 22b onto the stack 25, the piston rods 24a of the lifting cylinders 24 are retracted. In order to create the necessary pivoting space for the material 25 to be cut, the carrier element 15c is then partially inserted into the carrier element 15a retracted so that the stack 25 comes to lie approximately symmetrically to the longitudinal axis of the table. Then the locking located in the area of the pin 6 is released and the support 15 is pivoted through 90 °, in the area of the entry field in the table, not shown, reduce air nozzles the friction between the stack and the table. In this position, the carrier 15 forms a straight line with the carrier 14, in which the two carriers 14 and 15 are locked together again. During the pivoting movement of the carrier 15, the carrier element 15c is expediently already extended from the carrier element 15a and the gripper carrier plate 17 is moved in the guides 18, so that the material to be cut comes to lie adjacent to the side edge 12d of the table after completion of the pivoting movement and the Longitudinal side 25c is positioned at a slight distance from the knife cutting plane 27 on the input field 12b. The retractable side ruler 23 is then moved back to the extended position shown in FIGS. 2 and 3 and the now rotated stack of cut material 25 'is completely applied to the side stop by slightly moving the gripper carrier plate 17 in the guides. After being released from the stack 25 ', the gripper tongs 22 are moved and the carrier 15 is pivoted back into the position shown in FIG. By means of the feed saddle 13, the material 25 'to be cut can then be advanced to the desired cutting plane under the cutting knife 2. After the press beam 3 has been depressed, the cut is then made. The next bleed follows in the work sequence described. The above-described structure of the device according to the invention makes it possible not only to rotate the material 25 or 25 'to be cut, in particular by a right angle, but also the gripper system can take over the function of the feed saddle. In the extended position of the carrier 14 and 15, the gripper tongs 22 grasp the product 25 or 25 'to be cut at the rear edge and the product to be cut can be advanced or retracted by moving the carrier element 15c into the carrier element 15a Withdraw movement. In addition, there is of course, with a corresponding design of the device, the possibility of the carrier 15 not only by an angle to pivot out of the position shown in FIG. 1 by 90 °, but by an angle of 180 °, so that a further edge trimming can be carried out without the gripper tongs 22 having to be released.

In this case, the carrier 14 is displaceably mounted parallel to the longitudinal extension of the cutting knife 2 and the press beam 3 in guides 26 which extend over the entire length of the portal 11a. The carrier 14 is displaced by means of a pneumatic cylinder which is not visible in this view. The displaceability of the carrier makes it possible, for example, to remove a stack from a peripheral device or to deliver it to it.

Parallel to knife cutting plane 27, a guide 28 is provided behind the table, in which a similar gripper system 29 can be displaced . A base plate 30 of the gripper system is displaceable in the guide 28, with which a first support 31 directed towards the knife cutting plane 27 is rigidly connected. According to the function of supports 14 and 15 according to the first embodiment, a second support 32 is slidably mounted in the support 31. The free end of the carrier 32 receives a gripper carrier plate 33 which can be pivoted about an axis 34 oriented perpendicular to the input field 12b. The force means for moving the base plate 30, for extending the carrier 32 and for pivoting the gripper carrier plate 33 are not shown in the figures. The structure and function of the gripper carrier plate 33 corresponds to that of the gripper carrier plate 17 according to the previously described embodiment two gripper tongs in accordance with the above-mentioned embodiment are slidably mounted parallel to the plane of the input field 12b and perpendicular to it. In the embodiment described in FIG. 5, the material 25 to be cut is rotated after being gripped by superimposing the movement movement of the base plate 30 with the extending or retracting movement of the carrier 32 and the pivoting movement of the gripper carrier plate 33. I shows that gripped laterally cutting material 25 with the carrier 32 extended and the carrier carrier plate 33 lying in the alignment of the carrier 32. II shows an intermediate position with the carrier 32 partially retracted and the carrier carrier plate 33 pivoted by an angle of 45 ° with respect to the extended initial situation. III shows that rotated by 90 ° cutting material 25 'with the carrier 32 largely retracted and the gripper carrier plate 33 pivoted by 90 °. The retracting movement of the carrier 32 and the pivoting movement of the gripper carrier plate 33 between the operating states I and III are superimposed on a traversing movement of the base plate 30. After the rotated position has been reached, the material 25 ′ to be cut can be placed on the assigned side ruler 23 adjacent to the knife cutting plane 27 by defined movement of the base plate 30 and the carrier 32. The defined feed of the good 25 'to be cut to the separation point can then be effected by the gripper system 29 from the area of the feed saddle 13. As described for the previous embodiment, the gripper system 29 can replace the feed saddle 13 and thus serve to advance the material to be cut. The pivotable mounting of the gripper support plate 33 can additionally perform the functions of a rotary saddle.

Es ist im Rahmen dieser Ausführungsform denkbar, die Hebelteile 35a/35b längenveränderlich auszubilden, wobei die Längenveränderung wiederum über Kraftmittel erfolgt.FIG. 6 illustrates on the basis of a further embodiment that the telescopic supports 31 and 32 described for the embodiment according to FIG. 5 also have a two-part system Toggle lever 35 can be replaced. Thus, a lever part 35a can be pivoted about an axis 36 of the movable base plate 30 oriented perpendicular to the table 12 and arranged behind the input field 12b. With the end of the lever part 35a facing away from the axis 36, a lever part 35b can be pivoted about an axis 37 arranged parallel to the axis 36, the end of the lever part 35b facing away from this axis in turn receives the gripper carrier plate 33, which is arranged around an axis 34 arranged parallel to the axis 37 is pivotable. According to the embodiment according to FIG. 5, the gripper carrier plate 33 in turn receives two gripper tongs which can be displaced in the plane of the table and perpendicularly thereto. The force means for pivoting the toggle lever 35 as a whole and also the lever parts 35a and 35b and the gripper support plate 33 are not illustrated in the drawing in FIG. 6. I shows the material 25 to be cut laterally, with the toggle lever 35 extended. II shows the stack to be cut in a partially rotated position, in which the toggle lever 35 is partially bent and the gripper carrier plate 33 is pivoted through an angle of 45 ° from the starting position. III shows a further bent toggle lever 35 with gripper support plate 33 pivoted through 90 ° from the starting position and thus good 25 'to be cut rotated through 90 °. During the rotation of the material to be cut, the pivotal movement of the gripper support plate 33 and toggle lever 35 can be superimposed by a sliding movement of the base plate 30 in order to put the material 25 'to be cut back against a side stop. It is conceivable within the scope of this embodiment to design the lever parts 35a / 35b to be variable in length, the change in length again taking place via force means.

The clamping bar 40 has a first bar part 40a, which is fastened to the gripper carrier plates 17 and 33 described above and in which the adjusting means, not shown, are shown a further beam part 40b is mounted to be longitudinally displaceable. Two downward-facing jaws 38 of the clamping bar 40 are provided with the gripper pliers 22 described above. The two gripper tongs 22 are directed towards each other and thus allow the material 25 to be cut to be gripped on both sides. FIG. 7 shows on the right a lifting cylinder 24 with an extended piston rod 24a, on the left, for another variant, the capture field 12b of the table 12 is instead provided with a trough region 39 , into which the lower gripper tongue 22a is inserted, so that a separate lifting of the material 25 to be cut is not necessary in the gripper area.
