Abstract

Claims (16)

  1. An end wall (1) of moldable material for a wound roll, having a rectangular, in particular square, plate (40) which has rounded corner surfaces and the front side of which, said front side facing the wound roll (32), forms a smooth, flat surface and the rear side of which, said rear side facing outwards away from the wound roll, is stiffened by radial and annular ribs (9, 10), and further having a central, hollow-cylindrical insertion peg (4) and locking bosses (21, 22) projecting perpendicularly from the front side of the plate, wherein the end wall (1) is composed of circular central wall body (2) and a plurality of outer wall parts (3) which rest against the circumferential surface of the central wall body (2) and are connected to the latter non-releasably by connecting pieces (7).
  2. The end wall as claimed in claim 1, wherein the central wall body (2) is completely enclosed by four outer wall parts (3).
  3. The end wall as claimed in claim 2, wherein the insertion peg (4) of the central wall body (2) is connected via a shoulder (34) to a central cylindrical through-opening (13) on the rear side of the plate (40), and wherein the diameter of the through-opening (13) is greater than the outside diameter of the insertion peg (4).
  4. The end wall as claimed in claim 3, wherein V-shaped ridges (5) extend parallel to the longitudinal axis of the insertion peg (4) on the outer surface of the insertion peg (4), said ridges having a V-shaped cross-section which becomes smaller towards the front side of the plate (40).
  5. The end wall as claimed in claim 2, wherein the connecting pieces (7) are reinforced by internal webs (36, 37) between the circumferential walls, and wherein, at the longitudinal outer sides of the circumferential walls of the connecting pieces (7), bosses (8) are arranged on tabs which are bounded on each side by a slot (38), allowing the tabs to execute a spring action with respect to the circumferential walls.
  7. The end wall as claimed in claim 6, wherein, on the rear side, recesses (14), of which each is provided with openings (35) in its longitudinal wall for the snapping-in of the bosses (8) of a connecting piece (7), are distributed over the circumferential surface of the central wall body (2).
  8. The end wall as claimed in claim 5, wherein, on the rear side, along the inward-curving, quadrant-shaped abutment surface (20) and the two abutment surfaces (19), each outer wall part (3) has a recess (15) which contains openings (35) in its longitudinal wall for the snapping-in of the bosses (8) of a connecting piece (7).
  9. The end wall as claimed in claims 7 and 8, wherein the recesses (14; 15) in the circumferential surface of the central wall body (2) and in the abutment surfaces (19, 20) are swallowtail-shaped, and wherein the mutually opposite, equal-sized recesses (15, 15; and 15, 14) in the abutment surfaces (19) of the outer wall parts (3) and of the quadrant-shaped abutment surface (20) and of the circumferential surface of the central wall body (2) form the outline of a double swallowtail.
  10. The end wall as claimed in claim 6, wherein the connecting pieces (7) have a double swallowtail-shaped outline.
  11. The end wall as claimed in claim 1, wherein stacking bosses (21, 22) which delimit stacking pockets (23, 24) are present on the two outer side walls (39) of each outer wall part (3) of the end wall (1), and wherein the stacking pockets (23, 24) are of complementary design to the stacking bosses.
  12. The end wall as claimed in claim 11, wherein the stacking bosses (21, 22) have different lengths and bevelled side faces (25, 26) which are inclined towards the side wall (29), and wherein pairs of stacking bosses (21, 22) lie flush with the upper and the lower edge of the side wall (39).
  13. The end wall as claimed in claim 12, wherein the stacking bosses (21, 22) have further oblique surfaces (27, 28), wherein one short stacking boss (21) is in each case arranged near to the corner surface (12) and to the abutment surface (19) on the side wall (39) of the outer wall part (3), the two stacking bosses (21) being rotated by 180° with respect to one another and lying flush with the upper and lower edge respectively of the side wall (39), and wherein the two longer stacking bosses (22) are rotated by 180° with respect to one another and offset with respect to one another, their diagonally opposing oblique surfaces (27, 28) overlapping.
  14. The end wall as claimed in claim 13, wherein the mutually opposing, spaced end faces (29, 30) of the stacking bosses (21, 22), said end faces extending perpendicularly on the side wall (39), form a guide groove (41) for a strap (31) of the wound roll (32).
  15. The end wall as claimed in claim 5, wherein the locking boss (6) of each outer wall part (3) has a cylindrical boss neck (16) which is set off by a shoulder and is of smaller diameter than the locking boss (6).
  16. The end wall as claimed in claim 15, wherein the locking boss (6) is hollow and cylindrical and, on the rear side of the outer wall part (3), merges into a recess (17) which is surrounded by the rounded corner surface (12) and a round web (18).
