Definitions
- the invention relates to a strainer for sinks according to the preamble of claim 1.
- the invention has for its object to improve a dirt trap in that the replacement of the fragrance stone is possible without removing the dirt trap. Another task is to keep the strainer in place when washing.
- the strainer shown in Figures 1-3 is composed of a base plate 1 and a basket 3.
- the latter is plugged onto a central elevation 16 of the base plate 1, it being possible for grooves 4 to be provided expediently for better cohesion of the base plate 1 with the basket 3.
- recesses 17 are arranged, which form a passage for draining liquid from the inside of the basket 3.
- a number of through openings 2 are arranged in the base plate 1, the size of which is selected such that any solid parts thrown into the sink cannot pass through the through openings 2 into the drain of the sink.
- a cavity 6 is provided for receiving a weight 5, through which the displacement of the dirt trap during washing is prevented.
- the weight 5 is expediently made of lead.
- the basket 3 has an annular edge 11 on which a number of arms 7 are arranged.
- the arms 7 are at a distance from the edge 11 by a connecting ring 15 connected to each other, but have free ends 8, which are directed against the axis 9 of the basket 3 and, in addition, see FIG. 1, are inclined at an angle oC to the base plate 1.
- the ends 8 do not extend directly to the basket axis 9, but leave a free passage 10 open.
- a fragrance stone can be inserted into the basket 3 through the passage 10 without the basket 3 having to be removed from the base plate 1. Nevertheless, the scent stone cannot be washed out of the basket 3 even when a strong surge of water occurs during the rinsing.
- the free ends 8 of the arms 7 are expediently of unequal length.
- the fact that the free ends 8 have no connection with the adjacent ends makes them so flexible, in particular if they are made of plastic or metal, that a fragrance stone can also be inserted into the basket 3 that has dimensions larger than the diameter of the has free passage 10 in the lid of the basket 3.
- the contour of the base plate 1 is expedient to adapt to the shape of the sink; it is mostly oval or polygonal, e.g. triangular or quadrangular.
- the edge 12 of the base plate 1 can have projections, so that there are also openings for the passage of water directly on the sink.
- the strainer is extremely easy to use. If a fragrance stone is dissolved in the basket 3, a new fragrance stone is pushed in through the free passage 10 in the lid of the basket 3.
- the dirt trap does not have to be removed from the sink. The dirt trap must only be removed, rinsed and cleaned when foreign bodies and parts of all kinds collect on the base plate 1. It can be advantageous here that the basket 3 can be separated from the base plate 1.

Abstract
The dirt trap consists of a rubber plate (1) provided with openings (2) and a basket (3) placed on the base plate (1) for receiving a fragrance stone. The basket (3) has arms (7) which extend away from the base plate (1) and are angled at the ends (8) to form a cover against the basket axis (9). Because the ends (8) of the arms (7) are free, a replacement fragrance stone can be used without the basket (3) having to be touched or even removed. A weight (5) inserted in the base plate (1) prevents the dirt trap from moving during washing.
Description
The invention relates to a strainer for sinks according to the preamble of claim 1.
In sinks, especially urinal sinks, it is known to prevent the drainage from clogging by objects thrown in, e.g. Cigarette butts by inserting a perforated plate, e.g. made of metal or plastic. The disadvantage of this solution is that the water entering the basin during washing removes the perforated plate from its place, so that the parts thrown into the sink can still get into the drain and block it. Another disadvantage is that in known dirt traps with a container for holding a fragrance stone for disinfection and to improve the odor, the dirt traps have to be removed and the container for inserting a fragrance stone has to be removed.
The invention has for its object to improve a dirt trap in that the replacement of the fragrance stone is possible without removing the dirt trap. Another task is to keep the strainer in place when washing.
This object is achieved according to the invention by the characterizing features of claim 1.
- Fig. 1 einen Schnitt eines Schmutzfängers längs den Linien I - 1 in Fig. 3 und II - II in Fig. 2,
- Fig. 2 eine Draufsicht des Korbes und
- Fig. 3 eine Ansicht der Grundplatte des Schmutzfängers aus Richtung III in Fig. 1.
- 1 shows a section of a dirt trap along the lines I - 1 in Fig. 3 and II - II in Fig. 2,
- Fig. 2 is a plan view of the basket and
- 3 is a view of the base plate of the strainer from the direction III in Fig. 1st
The strainer shown in Figures 1-3 is composed of a base plate 1 and a basket 3. The latter is plugged onto a
In the interior of the base plate 1, a
The basket 3 has an
The
The contour of the base plate 1 is expedient to adapt to the shape of the sink; it is mostly oval or polygonal, e.g. triangular or quadrangular. The
The strainer is extremely easy to use. If a fragrance stone is dissolved in the basket 3, a new fragrance stone is pushed in through the
