Abstract
Description
The invention relates to brush brushing for rotatingly driven roller-shaped cleaning brushes, in particular on hand-brush or hand-brush suction devices, preferably with a plurality of transverse webs which engage between the bristle tufts of the brush.
A brush cover in such devices not only has the purpose of supplying the brushed dust to a suction channel, but also the winding around of loose objects, e.g. B. of clothing u. Like. To avoid the brush. However, the same can also be designed to strip off the threads entrained by the brush in order to feed them to a collecting container or to discharge them into a suction channel, as is the case, for example, in the known devices according to DE-OS 23 33 817 or Oe Patent Specification No. 308 23 or Oe Patent Specification No. 297 647. To make this possible, so-called scraper combs are arranged transversely to the brush axis in the upper region of the brush, ie on the side opposite the cleaning object, in such a way that the stripped threads can be fed without hindrance to a subsequent collecting container or a suction channel. The stripping of the stripped threads is most effective when the stripping comb is arranged on the downward rotating side of the brush (DE-OS 2333817). With all previously known brush covers, however, there is still the risk that loose objects on the underside of the cover will be drawn in by the rotating brush. Even with a cover arranged just around the brush and up to the lower surface line of the same, a sufficiently large gap remains at the bristle-free points of the brush, which extends from the cover to the brush shaft, which, together with the elasticity of the bristle tufts, rotates this dangerous property Allows brushing. Particularly in the case of motor-driven hand brushing devices, the handiness of which means that they can very easily be brought close to the clothing of the operator, this means that the same is at risk. Last but not least, damage to such a device due to the significantly higher brush revolution, in contrast to manually movable floor sweepers, is unavoidable.
However, the arrangements described in the above-mentioned patents are in no way able to prevent loose objects from being pulled in, and thus to prevent damage to the device or the danger to the person operating it, since the disadvantageous consequences are already fully effective when clothing items are used or the like over the center of the axis of the brush.
The purpose of the invention is to provide a brush cover which avoids these disadvantages and ensures better protection for the person operating the device.
F ß invention, this is achieved if the transverse webs situated at the side of the cleaning Bürsthälfte in the region of the open bottom of the cover between the. Engage the bristle tufts of the brush. Already the arrangement of a single web between two tufts of bristles according to the invention, for. B.-in half the free length of the brush, it is difficult to pull loose objects between Brush and cover. It is advantageous to use a plurality of webs at intervals from one another which are arranged in such a way that the bristle tufts protrude at least a few millimeters below them, so that the cleaning process is not hindered or restricted by them. The transverse webs, which are expediently designed with a rectangular cross section, can also be arranged at an oblique angle to the brush axis.
In a further development of the invention, the transverse webs can be attached by arranging them on the upward rotating side of the brush between the cover and the brush shaft. It is expedient to manufacture the individual transverse webs reaching approximately to the brush shaft in one piece with the cover.
However, it is particularly advantageous if, according to another development of the invention which is suitable for all brush arrangements, the transverse webs are arranged continuously below the brush shaft (s) along the entire width of the brush cover. This also allows an easily replaceable attachment to the cover.
According to an advantageous further development of the invention, this can be achieved in that the transverse webs can be used on the underside of the cover by means of longitudinal webs which can be attached to these on both sides. The crossbars therefore form a frame with the longitudinal webs, which can be attached to the cover in a durable manner, for example by internal tension or with the aid of spring clips.
In the case of two or more cleaning brushes arranged in parallel with one another and driven in the direction of rotation, according to a further advantageous further development of the invention, the crosspieces can be attached to the cover on a cover which is located between the brushes, preferably below the intersection of the surface lines of the same Be arranged longitudinal web. It is also possible to increase the center distance of the two brushes and to extend the longitudinal web between the brushes, if necessary, to the top edge of the cover in order to increase its stability. The transverse webs which can be attached to the longitudinal web can either be arranged extending only as far as near the brush shafts or also underneath the brush shafts extending as far as the lower edges of the cover.
If two or more brushes are arranged parallel to one another in the cover, it can be provided in a particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention that the transverse webs of one brush side are offset with respect to that of the other brush side by about half the diameter of a tuft of bristles. Since the bristle tufts of both brushes are to be offset by this distance in connection therewith, this results in a complete arrangement of bristle tufts over the entire length of the brush cover, which enables effective cleaning of the object in one operation.
I in Fig. 4.The invention is explained in more detail with the aid of a few exemplary embodiments: FIG. 1 and FIG. 2 each a brush cover according to the invention with a cleaning brush arranged in this, Fig. 3 u. 4, also in cross-section, each a further embodiment of the cover according to the invention with two cleaning brushes arranged in parallel next to each other, and FIG. 5 a section along the line I-I in FIG. 4.
In the example according to the invention in FIG. 1, the cleaning brush 1, which consists of the
In Fig. 3, which shows a brush arrangement with two parallel side by side, driven with an inward rotating cleaning brushes, the transverse and each reaching to the
Die mit den Längsstegen 12 u. 13 verbundenen Laschen rasten in Ausnehmungen der Abdeckung 4 ein, sodaß dadurch eine leicht austauschbare Anbringung der Querstege 6 in der Abdeckung 4 möglich ist.4 in turn shows the arrangement of two cleaning brushes lying next to one another in parallel in a brush cover designed according to the invention. In this, the
Querschnitten ausgebildet sein.5, for example, the arrangement of the
The invention is therefore applicable to a wide variety of brush designs and brush arrangements. For the sake of simplicity, the bristle tufts are shown parallel to the longitudinal axis of the brush in the exemplary embodiments, although usually brush tufts arranged on the brush shaft in a helical or the like manner are preferably used. The brush arrangement according to the invention can also be advantageously used for two or more cleaning brushes mounted next to one another in parallel in the device or in the cover, even if the bristle tufts of both brushes are arranged so as to engage with one another.
