Abstract
Un electrodo apto para la evolución de cloro en celdas electrolíticas está constituido por un substrato de metal revestido con dos distintas composiciones aplicadas en capas alternadas, la primera comprendiendo óxidos de iridio, rutenio y metales de válvula, por ejemplo tantalio, y la segunda comprendiendo óxidos de iridio, rutenio y estaño. El electrodo así obtenido reúne características excelentes de potencial anódico y de selectividad hacia la reacción de evolución de cloro.
