Abstract

La presente invención se relaciona con un proceso para deshidratar y remover en línea asfaltenos de crudos pesados y extrapesados. El proceso es aplicado en boca de pozo, se realiza a presiones de 414 a 689 KPa y temperaturas de 60 a 100°C e incluye dos fases, una de deshidratación y una de desasfaltado. En la primera se realiza adición de solvente, remoción de agua libre, calentamiento, adición de aditivos rompedores de emulsión y asentamiento para remoción de agua emulsionada. En la segunda se extraen los asfáltenos. Dicha fase comprende contactores o mezcladores estáticos en línea de bajo esfuerzo y diseño específico y un sedimentador con internos específicos, para la separación. El solvente recuperado se recircula al proceso, la separación del crudo mejora y los asfáltenos se disponen como combustible para la cogeneración eléctrica que autoabastece los requerimientos energéticos para la producción y el proceso de mejoramiento.
