Изобретение относится к содержащему порфирин катализатору разложения ароматических углеводородов, в которых атом кислорода связан с атомом углерода, входящим в бензольное кольцо, а также к способу получения ионов водорода, включающему стадии действия катализатора разложения по изобретению на лигнин или раствор, содержащий лигнин и щелочное соединение, и действия на раствор световым излучением с тем, чтобы вызвать выделение ионов водорода из лигнина. Заявленные катализаторы и способ получения ионов водорода являются высокоэффективными и позволяют снизить негативное воздействие на окружающую среду.
