Abstract

For sealing of a leaky pipeline 1, a liner 6 is introduced into said pipeline, the liner being flexible and having corrugated walls, such that the diameter of the liner 6 in unloaded state is greater than the lumen of the pipeline 1 at the points where the liner 6 has its greatest diameter, and smaller than the lumen of the pipeline 1 at the points where the liner 6 has its smallest diameter. The liner 6 is introduced into the leaky pipeline 1 under exertion of a force onto the liner 6, such that the diameter of the liner 6 is diminished at the points where it is greatest, whereby the introduction is eased, and after the introduction the liner 6 is relieved from force, whereby it will abut against the inner side of the pipeline 6 at the points with the greatest diameter. <IMAGE>
