Abstract

The glass panel comprises two parallel panes of glass with the first pane (1a) protruding by one edge beyond the pane edge of the second pane (1b). The support or edge closure element (5) is engaged on one side by the first pane so that the edge of the first pane protrudes over same whilst the closure element protrudes on its other side over the edge of the second pane. Where it protrudes over the second edge it has a fixing device to hold a seal (103). A further glass panel adjoining the first can be designed so that in the closed position its protruding edge adjoins the seal (103)
