Description

Method of manufacturing a puncture resistant cladding of Windings It is known to make windings and magnetic cores of transformers Insulate casings. The purpose of these coatings is to provide dielectric strength to increase against neighboring live parts. They are mostly made of paper, bandaged on like cables and then with oil, a compound or a solution of artificial substances. The artificial ones used Substances are hardened by condensation; when using low-pressure casting resins no volatile constituents are deposited during curing.

It is also already known to apply pulp to the parts to be insulated to be sprayed on, which hardens absorbent after the mixing agent has evaporated. Such However, an insulating layer interspersed with air bubbles is not a high-quality insulation. The well-known insulation with synthetic resin-soaked tapes comes into contact with the wrapping the rejection of the coils on difficulties due to the double curvature.

The invention aims to improve the known methods.

The invention accordingly relates to a method for producing a Breakdown-proof cladding of windings and magnetic cores of high-voltage transformers made of insulating fibers and a hardenable binder and consists of that using a per se known low pressure or contact resin both to the Binding as well as for the impregnation of the to be sprayed on in a manner known per se Fibrous material of this sprayed on in the form of loose fibers together with the resin is, whereupon the resin is cured so that this together with the fibers on the parts to be clad in the hardening process without splitting off volatile constituents The polymerization product is bubble-free and crack-free and does not reappear when heated softened.

The casing can be provided with electrically conductive layers in a known manner be provided, be it as capacitor inserts for electrical control of the insulation, be it as surface coverings.
