Bei seiner A^värtsbewegung schließt der Kolben d zunächst die Oeffnung c zum Sammeltopf und drückt alsdann das Condensat durch ein Ventil / in das Druckrohr g. Der Pumpenstiefel e steht mit dem Condensator A bezw. mit dem zur Luftpumpe führenden Rohr C durch ein Rohr Ii in directer Verbindung. Dieses Rohr h ist so angeordnet, daß in ihm kein Condensat abwärts fließen kann. Während das Condensat durch das Rohr α in die Condensatpumpe B läuft, wird das im Condensator bezw. in der Luftpumpe herrschende Vacuum auf die Condensatpumpe übertragen, so daß also das Condensat willig und ohne Widerstand in die Condensatpumpe fließen kann.The accompanying drawing illustrates this arrangement.
