Verfahren zur Herstellung von freifließenden Gemengen aus wasserfreiem Natriumpolyphosphat und kristallwasserhaltigen Salzen Freifließende Pulver sind insbesondere dann unbedingt notwendig, wenn es darauf ankommt, kleinere Mengen eines Pulvers einem anderen Stoff gleichmäßig zuzuführen. Natriumpolyphosphat der Formel Na. P30, liegt als kristallisiertes wasserfreies Produkt vor. Es hat gegenüber dem in vielen Fällen ähnlich wirkenden Natriumhexametaphosphat den erheblichen Vorteil, daß es nicht hygroskopisch ist. Es war deshalb zu erwarten, daß das nichthygroskopische Polyphosphat im Gemisch mit trockenen Salzen lagerbeständig ist. Dieses trifft auch zu. Ebenso müßte ein Gemenge von Polyphosphat mit trockenen kristallwasserhaltigen Salzen trockene und lagerbeständige Pulver ergeben. Durch die Erfahrung wird diese Erwartung jedoch nicht bestätigt. Nach dieser Behandlung bleibt das Pulver freifließend, ohne sich wieder zu harten Teilen zusammenzuballen, so daß es jetzt praktisch unbegrenzt lagerfähig ist. Diese Wirkung wird jedoch nur erzielt, wenn mindestens 3 °/o bis höchstens 5o °/o kristallwasserhaltige Stoffe beigemengt sind. Eine Erklärung für diese überraschende Erscheinung kann in der Annahme gefunden werden, daß das Kristallwasser des zugesetzten Fremdsalzes in das Polyphosphat unter Bildung von Na5P301o # 6 H20 übergeht. Diese Umsetzung war nicht zu erwarten, da Polyphosphat unter normalen Verhältnissen an der Luft unverändert bleibt, d. h. in feuchter Luft erst in Monaten Wasser zur Bildung des Polyphosphathydrates aufnimmt. Beispiel i 7o Teile Polyphosphat NabP301a und 3o Teile Mononatriumphosphat NaH2P04 - 2 H20 werden in feinvermahlenem Zustand miteinander vermengt.
