Description
Wälzhäute finden in Form becherartiger, konischer Gummihohlkörper vielseitige Verwendung, insbesondere als Kolbendichtungen. Um Wälzhäute auch für große Druckbeanspruchungen brauchbar zu machen, müssen sie in ihrer ganzen Ausdehnung gestützt werden, wobei es erforderlich ist, daß der Stützkörper der im Betrieb stark wechselnden Form der Wälzhaut sich anzupassen vermag. Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung ist ein Gewebekörper, der aus einem faltenlos dehnbaren Schlauch aus Klöppelgewebe besteht und infolge seines abmessungsmäßig in sich veränderbaren Gewebeaufbaues in der Lage ist, bei einer Verwendung als Stützkörper für Wälzhäute jeder Formänderung zu folgen. Durch seine faltenlose Anpassung an jede Lage erhöht das Klöppelgewebe die Festigkeit der elastischen Wälzhaut, so daß sie auch mit höheren Drücken beansprucht werden kann. Dieser in einer Preßform formgerecht gestaltete Gewebeschlauch wird der weiteren Erfindung gemäß in bestimmten, hinsichtlich der Formbeständigkeit wesentlichen Zonen mit einem steifmachenden Mittel behandelt. Um nun diese Form beständig und einbaufähig zu machen, werden die Zonen a und b derselben mit einer Masse bestrichen, die, notfalls unter Erwärmung, erhärtet (z. B.
