Description
Brennstoffilter in Form feinmaschiger Gewebe aus Metall, Textilien und ähnlichen Stoffen sind zur Filterung von Brennstoffen im Kraftfahrzeugbau üblich. Des weiteren findet man Sonderausführungen, die Verunreinigungen beim Durchgang durch Scheibenpakete und ähnliches zurückhalten, unter der Bezeichnung Spaltfilter und ähnliches. Die Wirkung aller dieser Filter hört bei einer gewissen Kleinstgröße der Verunreinigung auf, und es ist bei diesen Konstruktionen schwierig, etwa durch engere Maschen usw. dauernd eine Zurückhaltung kleinster Verunreinigungen zu erzielen. Es ist aber im Motorenbau kaum möglich, die in der chemischen Industrie verwendeten Filter auf keramischer Grundlage zu benutzen, da die mechanischen Beanspruchungen durch Stöße, durch die Montage und Demontage seitens Unkundiger solche empfindlichen Filter nicht zulassen. Die vorliegende Erfindung beschreitet hier einen neuen Weg, indem sie Sintermetalle aus Eisenpulver, Kupferpulver oder anderen sinterbaren Metallen verwendet. Diese Sintermetalle sind bislang hauptsächlich für den Ersatz von Weichmetallen (Ku,pferringen, Metalldichtungen, Hleihämmer usw.) entwickelt worden. Es hat sich nun gezeigt, daß man bei Verwendung von großen Körnern von 0,3 bis 0,4 mm Durchmesser und Anwendung kleiner Preßdrücke noch mechanisch haltbare Sintereisenfilter herstellen kann, deren Porendurchlässigkeit für den Durchgang von Brennstoff genügt.This makes it possible in a simple and cheap way, one in engine construction not unusual and handy form of a filter to manufacture cheaply that any desired fineness achieved.
