Description

Kanten- und Eckenschutz für Koffer o. dgl. Die Erfindung betrifft einen Kanten- und I?cl<en- schutz für Koffer o. dgl. Bisher sind die Kanten von Koffern o. dgl. durch aufgenähte Hä nder aus Leder, Lederersatzstoffen, Geweben o. dgl. oder durch einen aufgenieteten Blechstreifen und die Ecken durch aufgenietete Be- schläge geschützt « orden. Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, an Stelle dieser einzelnen Schutzmittel Kanten und Ecken durch ein gemeinsames -Mittel zu schützen und dadurch das Befestigen der Schutzmittel zu vereinfachen. Die Aufgabe wurde dadurch gelöst, daß der Schutz aus einem Wulst aus elastischem @hlaterial wie Gummi, Kautschuk o. dgl. besteht, der so auf dem Boden und auch auf dein Deckel eines Koffers o. dgl. befestigt wird, daß er von einer Ecke über die zu schützende Kante zur anderen Ecke läuft. Um dein Wulst einen guten Sitz auf den Kanten zu geben, ist er auf der Innenseite längs durch- laufend rechtwinklig ausgeschnitten, so daß er die Kante umgreift, auf der er angeordnet ist. Von besonderem Vorteil ist, wenn der Wttlst dem Verlauf der zu schützenden Kanten am Boden und Deckel des Koffers entsprechend, also vorzugs- weise als Rechteck, und endlos derart ausgebildet ist, daß seine ungespannte Länge etwas kleiner ist als die Summe der umschlossenen Kanten. Die Elastizität des Wulstes ermöglicht, ihn auf sehr einfache Weise und ohne nennenswerten Auf- v-and an 7eit auf den Kanten zu befestigen.
