Process for the production of a gauze-binding fabric which imitates cross-stitch embroidery.

Patented in the German Empire on September 14, 1877.

Method of making a cross-stitch embroidery to produce similar tissue:

Two chains are placed on a drum chair with eight-part cards, namely:

No. i. A necklace made from Zephyr wool.

No. 2. A chain made of cotton thread.

The fabric is made with six shafts, of which those labeled ABCF in the accompanying drawing are used to guide chain no. 1 (Zephyr wool) are used, while the combs marked DE are used to guide the chain No. 2 (cotton thread).

From the combs ABCF \ st: The comb C immobile and only hung firmly high for the purpose of passing the threads of the wool warp no. 1, which work as a loop wire, in front of the combs Z) £, in which the adjusting threads of the chain No. 2 are located to hold high.

The comb F is a supplementary part to the snare-wire combs, serving to keep the chain always in the necessary tension by a movement opposite to the snare-wire combs.

Finally, comb A , as well as comb B, are, as already mentioned, each a loop-wire comb.

Passing the wool threads etc. - chain No. ι now takes place as follows, two at a time Threads together:

i. Through the eye of comb F. 2. Between the strands of combs D and B through. 3. Through the upper strand of the fixed comb C, then the threads are divided and become: 4a one through the loop of the loop wire comb B. 4 b the other under the loop of the comb B through the loop of the loop wire comb A happens. 5. The tying then takes place in such a way that the card ring α (of the drawing) governs the outer halves of the loop wire combs A and B together, the card ring b governs the inner halves of the loop wire combs A and B (hanging side by side) together.
