Weiterhin ist nachteilig, daß die Metalleinlagen mit Bohrungen versehen sind, durch die Verschraubungen mit dem Karosserieblech oder mit der Stoßstange gesteckt werden müssen. Durch diese Bohrungen kann die Gummi- oder Kunststoffmasse hindurchgreifen, so daß eine sichere Einbettung möglich ist. Die Bohrungen müssen ausreichend weit in der Profilleiste liegen, um Belastungen mit ausreichender Sicherheit aufnehmen zu können. Die Ränder der Metalleinlage sind dabei so verformt, daß sie mit einem möglichst breiten Zonenstreifen in dem Elastomerkörper liegen. Die Metalleinlage liegt außerdem weit von den Stirnseiten der Elastomerleiste ab, da eine Befestigung unter ausreichender Vorspannung möglich ist. Die in die Mittelbohrungen der Metall-eiste eingreifenden Clips können durch entsprechende Bohrungen am Kraftfahrzeugblech oder an der Stoßstange eingreifen und zu einer ausreichend sicheren Befestigung führen.
