Abstract

The device has a tapping contact (10) provided with insulations at an edge area to prevent short circuit between data leads to be contacted and a shielding. The contact is arranged in a pressure plate (6), such that connection is established with a flat cable (4). The pressure plate is flexibly supported at a side, so that pressing of the contact to the cable occurs through swiveling movement of the plate. The contact is swivelably arranged at the plate to avoid relative movement between the contact and the cable in a cable longitudinal direction during penetration in the cable.
