Um den Zuflufs des Wassers, während die Maschine arbeitet, zeitweise einstellen zu können, hat die in meiner Zeichnung vom 27. Juni 1877 mit P bezeichnete Druckpumpe, Fig. 1, .dahin -einen Zusatz erhalten, das auf dem auf ihr sich rechts abhebenden Abflufsrohr A der beiliegenden Zeichnung ein Ventilabheber SORl angebracht ist.In order to be able to temporarily adjust the inflow of water while the machine is working, the pressure pump, Fig. 1, marked with P in my drawing of June 27, 1877, has received an addition that stands out on the right on it A valve lifter SORl is attached to the drain pipe A of the accompanying drawing.

Der Abheber zum Ventil, Fig. 3 und 4, besteht in einer eisernen Hubstange H mit Griff R, einer Oese O, einer Stoffbüchse S und einer Klaue K¹. An der Stoff büchse S ist ein halbrunder Lappen / angebracht, welcher am oberen Ende zur Führung der Oese O einen Schlitz a * und einen Ansatz b' besitzt. Am unteren Ende der Hubstange H befindet sich eine Klaue K¹, welche zum Heben der Ventilkugel dient. Vermittelst des Griffes R wird die Hubstange H mit der Ventilkugel K von der Ventilplatte p gehoben und die Oese O durch eine kleine Drehung auf den Ansatz b' gebracht.
