beliebig verdünnbar zu machen.to be diluted as required.
Dazu gehören beispielsweise höhere Phenole und ihre Derivate, Quecksilber- und ArsenverbindungenIt is known that a number of organic substances are found in water only little or not at all are soluble, have a high poisonous effect on small organisms of various kinds, but that considerable difficulties stand in the way of their application due to the unfavorable ones Solubility ratios. These include, for example, higher phenols and their derivatives, mercury and arsenic compounds
To do the same for the purpose They had to be used for disinfection or wood and plant protection either in organic solvents, oils, hydrocarbons, etc. more or less dissolve neutral character and apply so diluted, or one was forced to go that far salt formation made it possible to prepare aqueous solutions by alkalis and these to be used diluted with water.
Gerade die stark pilzgiftigen Nitrophenole büßten durch ihre Verwendung in Form ihrer Alk'alisalze einmal an Wirkungswert ein und waren des weiteren infolge ihrer hochexplosiven Kraft im VersandPhenols were also tried with soaps to be brought into solution and thus made dilutable with water. All of these methods Adhere to significant defects, the greatest of which is the reduction in germicidal power as well the price increases in the materials used. Robert Koch already proved that the pure Carbolic acid, benzophenol, is much more disinfectant than the higher phenols What is exceeded is that these are, however, very difficult or insoluble in water, and that On the other hand, the disinfection value by dissolving these bodies in oils is very important diminished, if not completely destroyed (the scientific and technical importance of tar phenols, Raschig, Zeitschr. f. ang. Ch., No. 38, 1912). Furthermore showed this researcher and later others that the antiseptic use of those substances only matters in aqueous solution, and that the phenolates, as well as phenolsulfonic acid salts, which were also tested for these purposes, also have only a low germicidal value in aqueous solution. Later it was found that the phenols, insofar as they were liquid, were very useful disinfectants in soap solutions result, but there are still considerable deficiencies in these substances. They are coming . once only, as mentioned, for the liquid ones Phenols in question, and also by the influence of the alkalis or the oleic and resinous acids Salts also significantly reduces the germicidal power here, as if by flawless ones Recent judgments has been proven. Particularly unfavorably designed however, the use of highly bactericidal solid phenols, ß-naphthol, resorcinol, the nitrophenols and other solid antiseptics, which are due to their low solubility could only be used in water in the form of their alkali salts. Nitrophenols, which are highly toxic to fungi, have suffered from theirs Use in the form of their alkali salts once and were further due to their highly explosive power in shipping

Of course, others who behave in a correspondingly favorable manner can also Masses such as casein, starch, animal glue can be used. The solvents for the poisons must be selected so that they are either self-germicidal, germ-inhibiting or neutral Have properties that do not inhibit the effect of the poisons to be dissolved and keep the poisons in question in solution in the cold. From the toxins are preferably all phenols and their derivatives, naphtol, pyrogallol, Resorcinol, nitrophenols and others m.
