The present invention relates to a comminution device which operates according to the principle of rotor comminution, wherein pockets are arranged in the rotor casing in a new and advanced manner.

Crushing devices, also called "shredders", in which heating materials, plastic materials or cellulose-containing materials are crushed by the action of knives, wherein the knives are arranged on the casing of a rotor located in a housing, are known in the art.

In most of the designs known to date, the knife holders are welded onto the rotor and the cutting knife is attached to the knife holder with one or more screws.

The present invention is based on the object of progressively increasing the changeability of the knife holder by achieving a faster changeover time, better availability, the use of high-strength materials that can no longer be welded onto the rotor casing, the possibility of using only a single screw when changing the knife to clamp or release a clamping part or the knife and the ability to convert to different knife shapes in a short time, depending on the materials to be processed, which is not possible with welded knife holders.

This bundle of tasks is surprisingly solved by the subject matter of the present invention.

The comminution device according to the invention is characterized in that the rotor casing has at least one pocket in which the knife holder is arranged.

According to a preferred embodiment, the knife holder is screwed into the pocket. Further preferred embodiments are set out in further subclaims.

The essence of the present invention will now be further explained with reference to the accompanying Figures 1 and 2, which illustrate preferred embodiments of the invention.

Figure 1 shows a longitudinal section (broken off) through the rotor shell with fitted knife holder.

Figure 2 shows a cross-section (broken off) through the rotor shell with fitted knife holder.

The reference number 1 designates the knife holder, which is located in the pocket arranged in the rotor casing 9 and is fixed with the fastening screw 6, which extends through the knife holder into the rotor casing.

The reference number 2 designates the knife, which rests on a base part 5.

According to a preferred embodiment, a clamping part 3 with a chuck part 4 is provided for fixing, wherein the clamping part 3 works together with a clamping and forcing screw 7 and a lock nut 8 for the forcing process.

In Figure 2, the respective elements are marked with the same reference number as in Figure 1.

Claims (6)

1. Shredding device for material to be shredded by knife action with a rotor arranged in a housing, characterized in that the rotor casing ( 9 ) has at least one pocket ( 10 ) in which the knife holder ( 1 ) is arranged. 2. Shredding device according to claim 1, characterized in that the knife holder ( 1 ) is screwed into the pocket ( 10 ). 3. Shredding device according to claim 2, characterized in that a fastening screw ( 6 ) is provided which fixes the knife holder ( 1 ) in the rotor casing ( 9 ). 4. Shredding device according to claims 1-3, characterized in that a base part ( 5 ) is provided for the knife ( 2 ). 5. Crushing device according to claims 1-4, characterized in that a chuck part ( 4 ) and a clamping part ( 3 ) with a continuous clamping and forcing screw ( 7 ), which works together with a lock nut ( 8 ) for the forcing process, are arranged. 6. Shredding device according to claims 1-5, characterized in that the knives ( 2 ) as cutting knives have a round shape and/or square shape and/or rectangular shape and/or pointed shape.
