The invention specified in claim 1 is based on the problem of creating a multimedia greeting and postcard.

Solution:

A multimedia greeting/postcard contains an electronic data carrier with multimedia information that can be read using any standard reader for electronic information media (e.g. CD-ROM drive, CD player, etc.).

Benefits achieved:

Due to the display options, the new solution offers the following advantages over a conventional greeting or postcard:

More extensive range of information and memories

Representation of an area or place and its surroundings in text, image and video format.

Extension of the written greeting with appropriate audio, video and/or text data depending on the occasion

Description;

1. The subject matter of the invention is

a multimedia greeting/postcard which, in contrast to the conventional greeting and postcard (only picture with optional text message), provides the interaction of different media types such as music, text, pictures, sound and video sequences as multimedia information in a multimedia system.

2. An embodiment of the invention is explained with reference to Figures 1 to 4. They show:

As shown in the figures, the multimedia greeting or postcard consists of four parts

• Firstly, from the printable part as shown in Fig. 1, which is intended as the greeting/postcard front (1). In this part there are cutouts (2) which allow the data carrier to be removed multiple times without damaging the greeting/postcard. The dimensions and shape of the cutout are determined by the greeting/postcard format, the printing and the data carrier type as well as its size.

• Secondly, from an electronic data carrier ( 3 ), as shown in Fig.2, e.g. a CD-ROM / music CD, on which multimedia information is located, readable by a multimedia system / CD player.

• Thirdly, a body ( 4 ) as shown in Fig.3, which provides a place for the data carrier and at the same time provides protection. The size of the body corresponds to the size of the greeting/postcard. The dimensions of the recess ( 5 ) in which the data carrier is located are determined by the desired capacity, size and type of data carrier.

• Fourthly, from the second writable part which is intended as the back of the greeting/postcard (6) as shown in Fig.4. There is enough space here for greetings, address and stamps, just like on a conventional greeting and postcard. The size and shape are the same as the front (1) of the greeting/postcard. The printing corresponds to the purpose.

Claims (2)

1. Multimedia greeting/postcard, characterized in that an electronic data carrier with multimedia information is integrated in a greeting/postcard, which can be read in any device recognized as a standard for the electronic information medium, e.g. CD-ROM drive, CD player. 2. Greeting/postcard according to protection claim 1, characterized in that the greeting/postcard is provided as a printable part ( 1 ) + ( 6 ) and as a holder ( 4 ) for an electronic data carrier ( 3 ).
There are cutouts in part ( 1 ) which allow the data carrier ( 3 ) to be removed. The size and shape of the holder ( 4 ) correspond to the size of the greeting/postcard. The size of the recess in which the data carrier is located is determined by the capacity, size and type of the data carrier.
