Durch Neigung der Rückenlehne 14 aus der in Figur 3a dargestellten, steilen in die in Figur 3b dargestellte, geneigte Stellung wird der Steuerhebel 30 nach hinten und seine abgewinkelte Verlängerung 50 nach vorn und unten verschwenkt. Über den Schwenkhebel 52, der den Sitz 12 gelenkig mit der Verlängerung 50 des Steuerhebels 30 verbindet, wird der Sitz 12 sowohl nach vorn verschoben als auch an seiner Rückseite abgesenkt. Claims

1. Seating furniture with a seat and a backrest adjustable in inclination, characterized in that a free seat depth (a) increases with increasing inclination of the backrest ( 14 ), and that the seating furniture ( 10 ) has a headrest ( 24 ) which is raised with increasing inclination of the backrest ( 14 ).

2. Seating furniture according to claim 1, characterized in that the backrest ( 14 ) has a pivoting fitting ( 18 ) with which it is guided so as to be pivotable backwards and forwards, the inclination of the backrest ( 14 ) increasing when pivoting backwards.

Seating furniture according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the headrest ( 24 ) is attached to an upper region of the backrest ( 14 ) by means of a pivot joint ( 22 ), and in that the seating furniture ( 10 ) has a pivot lever mechanism ( 16 , 20 , 28 , 30 ) which is driven by the backrest ( 14 ) and which pivots the headrest ( 24 ) upwards when the backrest ( 14 ) is tilted.

Seating furniture according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the seating furniture ( 10 ) has a gear ( 30 , 33 , 36 ; 30 , 50 , 52 ) for the seat ( 12 ), which is driven by the backrest ( 14 ) and which moves the seat ( 12 ) forwards relative to the backrest ( 14 ) with increasing inclination of the backrest ( 14 ).

5. Seating furniture according to claim 4, characterized in that the gear ( 30 , 33 , 36 ; 30 , 50 , 52 ) for the seat ( 12 ) is designed as a pivoting lever gear ( 30 , 33 , 36 ; 30 , 50 , 52 ).

6. Seating furniture according to claim 4 or 5, characterized in that the gear ( 30 , 50 , 52 ) for the seat ( 12 ) lowers the seat ( 12 ) in its rear region at the same time as the seat ( 12 ) moves forward when the backrest ( 14 ) is tilted.
