BACKPACK WITH TWO FUNCTIONS

The present utility model relates to a backpack and in particular to a backpack with two functions.

A bicycle includes a frame attached to its rear frame for carrying and supporting an object such as a package, a bag, a backpack and the like. However, the conventional backpack itself cannot be attached to the frame; this requires a strap, a rope, an elastic strap or the like, which is inconvenient for a user. The aim of the present utility model is to alleviate and/or eliminate the disadvantage of the conventional backpack.

According to one aspect of the present invention, a backpack is provided comprising: a body having a first side and a second side, a suspension device comprising a rigid plate detachably attached to the body and having a first and a second side, the first side facing the second side of the body, and a plurality of hooks each attached to the second side of the rigid plate and each arranged at the same height; and a connection attached between the body and the suspension device for detachably attaching the rigid plate to the body.

The body includes two shoulder straps, each attached to its second side, and a handle attached to the top of its second side.

The hanging device includes at least one hook and loop fastener strip attached to the second side of the rigid plate. The hook and loop fastener strip is located between and level with the plurality of hooks or at the bottom of the second side of the rigid plate.

The hanging device includes a flexible net attached to the first side of the rigid plate for receiving an object therein. The hanging device includes a male snap fastener device, a distal end of which is attached to the upper portion of the first side of the rigid plate, and a female snap fastener device, a distal end of which is attached to the lower portion of the first side of the rigid plate. The male and female snap fastener devices are releasably engaged with each other to enclose the flexible net therein.

The connection is a zipper and includes a first zipper tape attached around the perimeter of the second side of the body and a second zipper tape attached around the perimeter of the first side of the rigid panel. The first zipper tape and the second zipper tape are releasably engaged with each other.

Referring to the drawings and initially to Figures 1-3, a dual-function backpack according to the present invention comprises a body (10) having a first side and a second side; a suspension device (30) comprising a rigid plate (31) releasably attached to the body (10) and having a first and a second side, the first side facing the second side of the body (10), and a plurality of hooks (32) each attached to the second side of the rigid plate (31) and each arranged at the same height; and a connector (20) attached between the body (10) and the suspension device (30) for releasably attaching the rigid plate (31) to the body (10).

The body (10) includes two shoulder straps (11) each attached to its second side and a handle (12) attached to the top of its second side.

The suspension device (3 0) further comprises a Velcro strip (33) which is attached to the second side of the rigid plate (31) and is located between and at the same height as the plurality of hooks

(32). A first end part of the Velcro strip (33) is formed with a hook connector (330) and a second end part of the Velcro strip (33) is formed with a loop connector (332).

The connector (20) between the first side of the rigid plate (31) and the second side of the backpack is preferably a zipper and includes a first zipper band (21) attached around the perimeter of the second side of the body (10) and a second zipper band (22) attached around the perimeter of the first side of the rigid plate (31). The first zipper band (21) and

the second zipper tape (22) are releasably engaged with each other.

A fastening device (35) is fixedly attached to the bottom of the second side of the rigid plate (31) and includes a longitudinal track (36) with a plurality of locking teeth (37) formed thereon and aligned in one direction, a slider (38) slidably attached to the longitudinal track (36) and having a flexible snap (380) with a locking device (380) detachably connected to the locking teeth

(37) engaging pawl (382), and a flexible pressing strip (39) extending outwardly from the slider (38). The flexible snapper (3 80) includes an upper part and a lower part, each formed with an inclined guide surface (384), and the slider

(38) includes an upper portion and a lower portion each formed with a flexible pressing block (381) containing a downwardly extending pressing piece (383) releasably abutting the guide surface (384). The pressing strip (39) is arranged parallel to the longitudinal track (36) and includes an elongated mounting recess (390) defined therein which is open to the longitudinal track (36).

In use, the slider (38) can slide freely on the longitudinal track (36) in the direction shown by the arrow on the track (36) and the pressing strip (39) in Figure 1, but it can be locked due to the locking pawl

The locking pawl (382) is released from the locking teeth (37), so that the slide (38) can slide freely on the longitudinal track (36) in the opposite direction and thus return to its original position. In this way, the position of the slide (38) can be arbitrarily adjusted together with the pressing strip (39).

Referring to Figures 1-3, in use, the body (10) is connected to the rigid plate (31) by means of the connection (20) from the state shown in Figure 1 to the state shown in Figure 2, thereby assembling the backpack. Then, the rigid plate (31) is suspended from a rack (52) of the rear frame (50) of a bicycle by hanging the hooks (32) from a horizontal bar (56) of the rack (52). The Velcro strip (33) is used to form a loop to receive the horizontal bar (56) therein.

Then, the slider (38) is moved relative to the longitudinal track (36) to a position in which the pressing strip (39) abuts against an upright support (54) of the frame (52), whereby the upright support (54) is clamped into the fastening recess (390), whereby the rigid plate (31) is securely fastened to the frame (52) of the bicycle by means of the hooks (32) and the fastening recess (390) of the pressing strip (39). The slider (38) can slide freely along the longitudinal track (36), whereby the position of the pressing strip (39) is arbitrarily adjusted so that the fastening device (35) for fastening the rigid plate (31) to the upright support (54) can be adapted to another location. In this way, the backpack can be securely attached to the frame (52) of the bicycle, as shown in Figure 2.

Referring now to Figure 4 with reference to Figure 2, the fastening device (35) according to another embodiment of the present utility model is separated from the rigid plate (31)

removed, and a second Velcro strip (33) is attached to the bottom of the second side of the rigid plate (31) so as to form a loop for receiving the upright support (54) therein, thereby securely suspending the backpack from the frame (52) of the bicycle.

Referring to Figures 5 and 6 with reference to Figures 1 and 2, the body (10) is detached from the rigid plate (31) so that a user can carry the backpack body (10) by means of the shoulder straps (11) or the handle (12).

The rigid plate (31) can be hung solely from the frame (52) of the bicycle as shown in Figure 6. The hanging device (30) further includes a flexible net (40) attached to the first side of the rigid plate (31) for receiving an object such as a helmet (70) therein. The hanging device (30) includes a female snap fastener device (41) having a distal end secured to the lower portion of the first side of the rigid plate (31) and a male snap fastener device (42) having a distal end secured to the upper portion of the first side of the rigid plate (31). The male snap fastener device (42) and the female snap fastener device (41) are releasably engaged with each other to enclose the flexible net (40) therein and thus retain the helmet (70) in the flexible net (40).

It should be apparent to those skilled in the art that further embodiments can be made without departing from the scope and spirit of the present utility model.

Claims (11)

EXPECTATIONS 1. Backpack containing: a body (10) having a first side and a second side;
a suspension device (30) which a rigid plate (31) releasably attached to the body (10) and having a first and a second side, the first side facing the second side of the body (10), and several hooks (32), each attached to the second side of the rigid plate (31) and each arranged at the same height; and a connection (2 0) arranged between the body (10) and the suspension device (3 0) for releasably fastening the rigid plate (31) to the body (10). 2. Backpack according to claim 1, wherein the body (10) includes two shoulder straps (11) each attached to its second side. 3. A backpack according to claim 1, wherein the body (10) includes a handle (12) mounted on top of its second side. 4. Backpack according to claim 1, wherein the suspension device (30) includes at least one Velcro strip (33) attached to the second side of the rigid plate (31). 5. Backpack according to claim 4, wherein the Velcro strip (33) includes a first end portion formed with a hook connector (330) and a second end portion formed with a loop connector (332). 6. Backpack according to claim 4, wherein the Velcro strip (33) is located between and at the same height as the plurality of hooks (32). 7. Backpack according to claim 4, wherein the Velcro strip (33) is located at the bottom of the second side of the rigid plate (31). 8. A backpack according to claim 1, wherein the suspension device (30) includes a flexible net (40) attached to the first side of the rigid plate (31) for receiving an object (70) therein.
9. A backpack according to claim 8, wherein the suspension device (30) includes a female snap fastener device (41) having a distal end secured to the lower portion of the first side of the rigid plate (31) and a male snap fastener device (42) having a distal end secured to the upper portion of the first side of the rigid plate (31), the male and female snap fastener devices (41) being interconnected, respectively. (42) releasably engage with each other to enclose the flexible net (40) therein. 10. Backpack according to claim 1, wherein the connection (20) is a zipper. 11. Backpack according to claim 10, wherein the connection (2 0) comprises a first zipper tape (21) which is 0 attached around the periphery of the second side of the body (10) and a second zipper tape (22) which is attached around the periphery of the first side of the rigid plate (31), wherein the first zipper tape (21) and the second zipper tape (22) are releasably engaged with each other.
