Hooks on lashing straps for pallets

The invention relates to a hook on lashing straps for pallets in order to secure the objects on them against slipping.

Plastic pallets have become known that consist of a lower support part for supporting the objects and an upper part for covering the objects. Lashing straps have become known for this purpose, with which the two parts are pressed against each other and the objects are thus secured for transport.

In the case of the known pallets, two straps must generally always be provided, which are conveniently connected to one another on the side by hooks. On the upper part of the pallet there are so-called "ratchets" with which the lashing straps are tightened.

The disadvantage here is that when lashing objects it is difficult to hook the hook of the lower lashing strap into a loop of the upper lashing strap or vice versa.

The present invention is based on the object of creating a hook for lashing straps of the type mentioned at the beginning, with the help of which the lashing strap always rests on the lower part of the pallet without laborious threading, so that the lashing strap can be tightened by simply pulling it up.

To solve the problem posed, a hook of the type mentioned at the beginning is proposed, which is characterized by a lower hook part for hanging the hook in the pallet edge or in a recess provided for this purpose on the pallet and an upper hook part for supporting the hook on the upper pallet edge or on the upper surface of the recess provided for this purpose on the pallet, wherein the distance between the support surface of the upper hook part and the contact surface of the lower hook part is greater than the height of the pallet edge or the recess for hanging the hook.

The hook according to the invention has the significant advantage that the hook can be placed by the user by lowering the lashing strap from above onto the edge of the pallet or the recess provided for it, with the lower part of the hook gripping under the edge of the pallet or the corresponding recess. When the lashing strap or belt is pulled up, the lower part of the hook is then automatically hooked under the edge of the pallet or the recess provided for it. The user does not need to bend down to push the hook under the edge of the pallet or the recess.

According to a particular embodiment, the hook according to the invention consists of a flat part which is angled at the bottom and has a raised edge. On the inner surface of the flat part there is a claw-like projection with a downwardly projecting edge which can be placed on the edge of the pallet or the edge of the molding.

A further embodiment consists in providing a belt fastening device in the form of an opening for pulling the belt through on the top of the angled flat part, with a claw-like projection part being attached in the middle area at a corresponding distance that is greater than the height of the edge or the edge of the recess. In this embodiment, the distance between the surface of the lower angle of the flat part and the surface of the claw-like projection is greater than the edge height of the pallet or the edge height of the recess provided for it.

The hook according to the invention can of course also be manufactured in one piece by casting or folding corresponding sheet metal parts.

The hook according to the invention will be explained in more detail using the example of a preferred embodiment with reference to the drawings.

Fig. 1 shows in principle a pallet made of plastic, which consists of a lower part 1 and a cover or an upper part 2. The pallet is shown empty, i.e. without objects. The upper part 2 and the lower part 1 are held together by lashing straps 3, so that the two parts enclose the objects located between them and these are thereby lashed.

The straps can be tightened by means of ratchets 4 shown in principle. The lashing straps are hooked into recesses in the lower part 1 of the pallet by means of hooks 5 according to the invention.

The hook 5 is shown in perspective in Fig. 2. It essentially consists of a flat part 6 which is angled at 7 on the underside, which part has an upwardly projecting edge 8. The flat part 6 has an opening 9 on the top for pulling the lashing strap 3 through.

In the middle part of the flat part 6, a claw-shaped projection 10 is welded, which has a projection 11 with a downwardly extending edge 12. According to the invention, the distance H between the surface of the angled part 7 and the surface of the projection 11 of the part 10 is greater than the pallet edge or the height R of the recess 13 in the lower part 1 of the pallet (Figure 3).

As can be seen from Fig. 3, in the initial state the surface of the projection 11 of the projection 10 is aligned with the upper surface of the projection

or the recess 13. Since the distance H is greater than the height R, the surface of the angled part 6 of the hook 5 on the underside hangs freely below the lower edge of the recess 13.

From Fig. 4 it can be seen that when the lashing strap 3 is tightened, the lower, angled part 7 rests against the lower surface of the recess 13. The objects on the pallet are thus securely lashed.

When the tension of the straps 3 is loosened, the hook 5 is moved vertically downwards and the hook 5 can be very easily disengaged by moving the strap 3 away from the upper part of the pallet 2.

Hooks on lashing straps for pallets for securing the objects on the pallets, characterized by a lower hook part for hanging the hook in the pallet edge or a recess provided for this purpose on the pallet and an upper hook part for resting the hook on the upper pallet edge or on the upper surface of the recess provided for this purpose on the pallet, wherein the distance (H) between the support surface of the upper hook part and the contact surface of the lower hook part is greater than the height (R)) of the pallet edge or the recess for hanging the hook. 2. Hook according to claim 1, characterized by a flat part ( 6 ) which has a bend ( 7 ) with an upstanding edge ( 8 ) on the underside, and a claw-like projection ( 11 ) on the inner surface of the flat part ( 6 ) with a downwardly projecting edge ( 12 ) which can be placed on the pallet edge or the edge of the molding. 3. Hook according to claim 1 and 2, characterized in that a belt fastening ( 9 ) in the form of an opening for pulling the belt through is provided on the upper side of the angled flat part ( 6 ), a claw-like projection part ( 10 ) being welded on in the central region at a distance which is greater than the height (R) of the pallet edge or the edge of the recess, the distance between the surface of the lower angle ( 7 ) and the surface of the claw-like projection ( 11 ) being greater than the edge height of the pallet or the edge height of the recess provided for this purpose. 4. Hook according to claim 1, 2 or 3, characterized in that the hook is manufactured in one piece by casting, pressing or folding corresponding sheet metal parts.
