Schließlich weist die elektrische Verbindungseinheit einen Anschluß an eine stationäre Spannungsversorgung auf, wobei beispielsweise ein aufrollbares Kabel, wie dies von Staubsaugern her bekannt ist, als Bestandteil des Arbeitstisches vorgesehen sein kann. Vorteilhafterweise ist diese elektrische Verbindungseinheit durch die Betätigen der zentralen Schließvorrichtung aktivierbar bzw. deaktivierbar. Claims

1. Computer workstation with a work table which serves to store at least one workstation computer ( 11 ) and the peripheral devices connected to it, such as a monitor ( 12 ), keyboard, mouse, printer ( 14 ), fax machine, scanner, modem or the like, characterized in that the work table can be converted from a rest position with a substantially smooth-surfaced, closed spatial form into an operating position in which the computers ( 11 ) and peripheral devices ( 12 , 14 ) arranged in the rest position inside the spatial form are accessible for use by pivoting and/or sliding several outer walls ( 2 , 6 , 7 ).

2. Computer workstation according to claim 1, characterized in that an upper cover plate ( 2 ) of the work table is pivotable or displaceable to widen the work surface.

3. Computer workstation according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that a front wall ( 6 , 7 ) of the work table has at least one plate pivotable about a vertical axis.

4. Computer workstation according to claim 3, characterized in that the front wall has two plates ( 6 , 7 ) which can each be pivoted outwards by 270°.

5. Computer workstation according to claim 4, characterized in that horizontal support elements ( 10 , 15 , 16 , 17 , 18 ) for peripheral devices are provided on the sides of the plates ( 6 , 7 ) facing inwards in the rest position.

6. Computer workstation according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that a passage opening ( 24 ) for a height-adjustable monitor ( 12 ) is provided in an upper worktop ( 3 ) of the work table.

7. Computer workstation according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the work table can be moved on rollers ( 19 ), with plates ( 7 ) which can be pivoted about vertical axes optionally being mounted on at least one additional roller ( 20 ).

8. Computer workstation according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the workstation computer ( 11 ) and peripheral devices ( 12 , 14 ) are cabled together both in the rest position and in the operating position.

9. Computer workstation according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the work table can be closed in the rest position by means of a central locking device ( 22 ).

10. Computer workstation according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the workstation computer ( 11 ) and the peripheral devices are connected to a central electrical connection unit ( 26 ).

11. Computer workstation according to claim 9 and 10, characterized in that the electrical connection unit ( 26 ) can be activated or deactivated by actuating the central locking device ( 22 ).

12. Computer workstation according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that peripheral devices with permanent readiness for receiving signals, such as modems, fax machines or answering machines, are supplied in the idle position by means of an integrated battery.

13. Computer workstation according to claim 12, characterized in that the work table in the rest position comprises visible display devices ( 27 ) which signal the arrival of incoming messages.
