Gebäuden durch eindringendes Wasser in die Öffnungen der Gebäude, wie Türen, Fenster und/oder auch Abflußkanäle erzeugen. Weiterhin ist bekannt, daß bei Hochwasser große Schmutzlasten, z. B. Auf diese Weise wird der gesamte Innenraum gegen eindringendes Hochwasser abgedichtet. Das Gewicht des gefüllten Faltenbalkes wirkt zudem dem durch das äußere Hochwasser am Haus erzeugten Auftrieb entgegen. Nach Abklingen des Hochwassers kann das im Faltenbalk befindliche Wasser über eine Leitung 4 in das Kanalsystem eingeleitet werden.
