Üblicherweise muß ein Kunde beim Kauf einer Kombination oder eines Einzelmöbels aus einer Möbelserie die Zusammenstellung, das Aussehen und die Nutzung der Möbel von vornherein festlegen. Die einzelnen Schrankelemente sind dabei in ihrer Positionierung eindeutig definiert, so gibt es eine linke, eine rechte, eine obere und eine untere Seite.
