Die in den Stecker eingebaute Mechanik besteht aus einem Hebel 5 und einer Schubstange 8. Der kurze Hebelarm 6 ist um 45° vom langen Hebelarm 7 abgewinkelt. Die Hebelachse liegt in einer Nut-förmigen Vertiefung des Steckergehäuses 1. Die Vertiefung ist für den Durchtritt des kurzen Hebelarmes 6 zum Steckerinneren keilförmig aufgeschlitzt. Das exzentrisch aus der Steckerrückseite herausgeführte Gerätekabel 2 beschreibt eine Schleife und ist hinter dieser mit einer Schelle (Zugentlastung) am Ende des langen Hebelarmes 7 befestigt. Der kurze Hebelarm 6 ruht bei hängendem Gerätekabel 2 auf dem Ende der Schubstange 8, welche bis zu einem Loch in der Vorderseite des Steckergehäuses 1 reicht und durch die Schubstangenführung 9 so gehalten wird, daß eine axiale Bewegung möglich ist.
