One-piece noseband with integrated reins made of round braided rope

The subject of the invention is a particularly light noseband made in one piece with integrated reins from spliceable round braided rope.

Common nosebands are made of several straps or belts that are connected to each other by rings, buckles, etc., and the reins can also be buckled or attached to rings on the halter.

The noseband according to the invention is designed as a particularly light noseband and enables a new bridle according to the method of force-free riding developed by the applicant. The noseband according to the invention has only one nose loop and one neck loop as well as the integrated reins, so that this new bridle acts gently on the horse's nose bone and neck. This means that even sensitive horses can be ridden without any problems using almost only light weight and leg aids.

The design and manufacture of the noseband according to the invention are briefly described in more detail below using the embodiment shown in the attached drawing. The drawing shows the

As the drawing shows, the noseband shown is placed over a horse's head, indicated by dash-dot lines, so that its parts and their function can be easily recognized.

The noseband according to the invention is made of splicable round braided rope, which can be a braided nylon rope.

The noseband shown together with the integrated reins preferably consists of a main part, which is made of a thicker round braided rope with a nominal diameter of about 10 mm and forms a nose loop 1, converges under the chin in a knot 2 and then branches again into two rein strands 3, the ends of which unite to form a closed loop 4, and of an attachment part made of a slightly thinner round braided rope with a nominal diameter of about 7 mm, which forms the neck loop 5 and whose ends are connected to the main part on both sides of the nose loop 1 via knots 6.

The one-piece design of the noseband, whose components have just been described, is made as follows: With a splicable round braided rope cut to the appropriate length, which is used to make the main part, a central loop is first made, which later forms the nose loop 1, and the knot 2 is made by splicing, by first passing one end of the rope through the other end of the rope and then passing the other end of the rope through one end of the rope. This results in an X-shaped splice knot, which is very simple in design, but absolutely slip-proof and defines the nose loop 1 which converges under the chin. The two free rope ends, which form the reins 3, are then spliced together at their ends,

so that a closed rein loop is obtained, whereby the spliced loop part 4 is thickened due to the splicing and thus forms a handy handle part.

Then, preferably, a reinforcement is inserted into the nose loop 1 by inserting a flexible nylon core or the like, which is relatively soft but nevertheless has greater rigidity than the round braided rope itself, into the interior of the round braided rope in the area of the nose loop. This gives the nose loop a substantially dimensionally stable, harmonious curve with elastic resilience, but without losing the necessary degree of flexibility.

Then the round braided rope, cut to the appropriate length and intended to form the attachment piece serving as the neck loop 5, is passed with its two ends on one or the other side of the nose loop 1 through the round braided rope of the main part and spliced back into the attachment rope. The respective knot 6 is thus formed by a small loop of the respective end of the attachment rope, which passes through the main rope and is then spliced back into itself.

The finished one-piece structure includes a noseband and reins.

A noseband made in one piece with integrated reins made of splicable round braided rope, consisting of a main part made from a first piece of rope with a nose loop (1), the two ends of which are connected to one another to form a splice knot (2) that lies under the horse's chin and then continue to form two rein strands (3), the two ends of which are spliced together to form a closed rein loop, and an attachment part formed by a second piece of rope, the two ends of which are connected to the nose loop (1) on either side by a splice knot (6) and form a neck loop (5). 2. Noseband according to claim 1, wherein a flexible core is inserted into the rope section of the first rope piece forming the nose loop (1). 3. Noseband according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the splice knot (2) of the nose loop (1) is formed by first one end of the rope is passed through the other end of the rope and immediately afterwards the other end of the rope is passed through the one end of the rope to form an overall X-shaped splice knot. 4. Noseband according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the splice knots (6) between the second rope piece forming the neck loop (5) and the first rope piece forming the nose loop (1) are formed by passing the respective end of the second rope piece through the rope of the first rope piece and splicing the end of the first rope piece back into the first rope piece. 5. Noseband according to one of claims 1 to 4, wherein the spliced free ends of the first rope piece form a handle part (4) of the rein loop. 6. Noseband according to one of claims 1 to 5, wherein the first rope piece has a larger diameter than the second rope piece.
