Die Oberfläche des lackierten Formteils muß zum Entfernen der Krater nochmals geschliffen oder gespachtelt und anschließend nochmals lackiert werden. Dieses Schleifen und Lackieren muß mehrfach wiederholt werden. Zumindest das Schleifen muß wegen der komplizierten geometrischen Form, die das Formteil oftmals hat, von Hand erfolgen. Das mehrmalige Schleifen und Lackieren verursacht einen großen Herstellungsaufwand.
