Unter Cabrio verstellt man ein Automobil mit aufklappbarem Verdeck. Statt diesem aufklappbaren Verdeck werden heute auch als Schalen ausgebildete Dächer verwendet, die abnehmbar mit der Karosserie verbunden sind. Derartige Cabrios sind insbesondere in den warmen Sommermonaten besonders beliebt und werden in immer größeren Stückzahlen hergestellt und vertrieben. Zum Schutz der Insassen ist dabei nicht nur das Chassis und entsprechende Teile der Karosserie verstärkt, sondern es werden auch sogenannte Rollbügel eingesetzt, die beim Umschlagen des Fahrzeuges den Innenraum zusätzlich stabilisieren sollen. Aus der DE-PS 44 12 108 sowie DE-PS 41 00 506 sind Rollbügel aufwendiger Konstruktion bekannt, die aus einem stabilen Gerüst bestehen, das hinter den Nackenstützen des Fahrers und Beifahrers verläuft und entsprechend im Chassis abgestützt ist. Bekannt sind auch einfache Rohrkonstruktionen, die nur den Anschein eines Rollbügels ergeben sollen und die von einer Seite zur anderen Seite des Fahrzeuges bzw. Diese Verschwenkbarkeit ist deshalb erforderlich, weil mittig zwischen den beiden Nackenstützen eine Ablagebox angeordnet ist. Diese Ablagebox soll eines der Probleme von Cabrios beheben, nämlich den fehlenden Stauraum. Diesem Bedürfnis kommt die neuerungsgemäße Lösung dadurch entgegen, dass dieser Stauraum unverändert verbleiben kann, dennoch aber eine zumindest optisch wirksame Ausbildung eines Rollbügels vorhanden ist, der beim Öffnen der Ablagebox einfach weggeschwenkt wird, so dass der Schwingdeckel der Ablagebox problemlos geöffnet bzw. hochgeschwenkt werden kann. Ist dann der Beladeoder Entladeprozess der Ablagebox abgeschlossen, wird der Schwingdeckel geschlossen und die beiden Rollbügel in ihre Fahrposition zurückgeschwenkt.
