Dies geschieht durch Anwendung des bekannten Faraday'sehen Gesetzes, indem an oder in einer Tasche vor die Antenne des Funktelefons ein Schild herausklappbar oder herausschiebbar aus einer Metallplatte, Metallfolie oder einem feinmaschigem Metalldrahtnetz vorgesehen ist, das wie ein Faraday'scher Käfig die Strahlung, die von der Antenne ausgeht, vom Kopf weg reflektiert.
