Description

BeschreibungDescription

At the age of 3 to 4, children receive their first bicycle, which has support wheels attached to the side of the rear wheel to prevent the bicycle and child from tipping over when riding. After the child has gained confidence in handling the bicycle for a few months, the phase of learning to ride freely without support wheels begins. This is particularly difficult for the adult, who is supposed to protect the child from possible falls when riding without support wheels. To do this, the adult runs behind the low children's bicycle in a deeply bent position and holds it by the luggage rack or saddle. Experience has shown that this generally common learning method means that the child only very slowly develops a feeling for balance and speed, i.e. learning to ride can be very time-consuming and frustrating for the child and the person caring for them.

(Fig. 1)The present invention therefore makes learning to ride a bike much easier, as after just a short period of practice (around 10 minutes) the child can ride freely without assistance. For this purpose, a learning bar is attached to the bike behind the saddle, which extends upwards about 80 to 90 cm with a slight incline towards the back, so that it can be easily grasped by an upright adult. (Fig. 1)

Nach wenigen solcher Übungen erlernt dasThe diameter of the bar is 20 to 25 mm. During the riding exercise, the person supervising the exercise moves at a light jog pace (which is beneficial for the child's fitness) to the side or behind the bike and initially guides the child on the bar in a straight line and in larger curves. At the appropriate speed, the child learns very quickly to compensate for the inclination of the bike by steering. In the next learning phase, the adult can let go of the learning bar for a short time, but is always ready to hold the bar again if the child loses direction and balance. After a few such exercises, the child learns

The child learns to ride freely surprisingly quickly and then really enjoys riding his or her children's bike.

Anhand einer Zeichnung sei die Erfindung näher dargestellt; es zeigen:The invention is illustrated in more detail with the aid of a drawing; it shows:

For the rods 1, 4, clamps 7 and holders 5, 6, metal or plastic can be used in the required stability. All parts are easy to manufacture.
