The invention relates to a built-in household appliance, in particular a built-in refrigerator and/or freezer with a piping for covering a gap between the furniture enclosure and the appliance.

A piping is usually used to cover the gap between a side wall of furniture and the device. It is desirable that the piping can be attached and secured in the gap in a particularly simple manner.

Furthermore, different thicknesses of furniture conversions are often used in fitted kitchens. There are furniture conversions with a side wall thickness of 16 mm and 19 mm. For this reason, it is necessary that two different pipings are included in the scope of delivery of the fitted household appliance, which is complex and not resource-friendly.

The invention is therefore based on the object of specifying a built-in household appliance in which the gap between the furniture enclosure and the appliance can be covered particularly easily and, with reference to different furniture wall thicknesses, particularly resource-friendly.

This task is solved in a built-in household appliance of the type mentioned above by the piping being elastically distributed over at least part of its length.

This ensures that the piping can be inserted particularly easily and with good adhesion into the gap between the furniture frame and the device, whereby the piping is then particularly well secured in the gap due to the elements that are elastically deformed when installed. In the cross-section shown in detail in Fig. 1, a piping 2 is shown in full profile. This piping covers a gap 4 of width dl between a furniture side wall 6 and a household appliance, here a household refrigerator 8, in the direction of an arrow 10. The direction of the arrow 10 corresponds to the user's line of sight on the visible side usually facing the user of the refrigerator. The piping 2, which can be seen here in profile, has elastically deformable elements 12, 14, 16 over its entire longitudinal extent (perpendicular to the plane of the paper), with the elastically deformable element 16 being provided as an element that can be folded down if necessary.

According to Fig. 1, the elastically deformable elements 12 and 14 serve to exert a pressure on the furniture enclosure 6 and the cooling device 8 with their restoring force, so that the piping is held particularly well in the gap 4 and thus a clean finish is provided at the front of the transition from the cooling device 8 to the furniture enclosure 6 in the direction of the arrow 10. It should be clarified here again that the restoring force of the elastically deformable elements 12, 14 has a component in the direction of the surface normal of the furniture enclosure 6 and/or the device side wall 8'.

The piping 2 shown in Fig. 1 is also able to cover a gap 4' with the gap width d2, which is considerably wider than the gap 4 with the gap width dl, as shown in Fig. 2. For this purpose, the elastically deformable, if necessary foldable element 16 is actually folded over in the area of a narrow point 20 designed similarly to a film hinge. as well as by the elastically deformed element 12 and by the elements 14 on the furniture structure 6'.

The repelling force, i.e. the actual clamping force, of the piping 2 can ultimately be conveniently adjusted within wide limits by selecting the material of the piping 2 and the remaining thickness of the constriction 20. Furthermore, with particular regard to the recyclability of the piping 2, it is intended that it be made from PVC-free material.

The piping 2 shown in Fig. 1 and 2 is also basically suitable for covering the gap between any other household appliance and a furniture conversion. In the example shown, the piping consists of a PVC-free material or material mixture, which is particularly easy to dispose of. SEBS, SEBS/PP is particularly suitable as a material/material mixture.
