Scissor joint system for a seating furniture

The invention relates to a scissor joint system for a piece of seating furniture or a piece of seating/reclining furniture with a swing-out footrest.

Such scissor joint systems are known in the state of the art. In the scissor joint systems that have been used up to now, the scissor joint system is swiveled in by the user, which can also be assisted by a motor or in some other way, so that the footrest is swiveled in a position in which it forms the front surface of the seat or armchair below the seat in a quasi-vertical direction. This footrest can be moved into a swiveled out position by operating the scissor joint system, in which it extends out from the seat.

A simple change in the way that the extension path is changed to such an extent that the user's feet are actually supported by the swiveled-out footrest has not been achieved in the state of the art. Based on this state of the art, the invention is based on the object of creating a scissor joint system of the generic type and arrangement in which the extension path of the footrest can be significantly increased without changing the actual frame of the seating furniture.

The design specifications given in the claim are preferably not subject to tolerances or are subject to only a small amount. Although tolerances of up to + 2% are possible, the preferred design is found in the specific dimensions of the claim.
