Description

The invention relates to a paper carrying bag with a paper handle.

Such carrier bags are already known with flat paper handles glued on the inside or outside.

The disadvantage of such bags is that they are open at the top when being carried, meaning that the contents are not protected from rain, dust or sunlight. There are bags of this type that have an adhesive strip on the inside, under the top edge, which, once the cover has been removed, sticks to the opposite side wall and thus keeps the carrying bag closed in the middle.

The disadvantages of this partial closure are that the sides, especially the side folds, remain open,

that when the bag is full, the contents are pushed outwards, the adhesion is released and the bag is open again.

The object of the invention is to improve such a carrying bag so that it can be easily and quickly closed with a protective flap.

According to the invention, this problem is solved by gluing the paper handles glued to the outside deeper into the bag wall, so that the upper edge of the handle extends just over the edge of the bag. Approximately in the middle between the edge of the bag and the upper edge of the handle, the bag has a groove across its entire width. The upper edge of one front side of the bag has a recess in the middle (i.e. between the handles), and on the opposite front wall of the bag there is an adhesive strip on the inside at the same height.

To close the bag, the backing paper of the adhesive strip is removed, the edge of the bag is bent over at the groove so that the adhesive strip on the inside is pressed between the recess on the opposite edge of the bag onto the outside of the bag wall, sticks there and thus holds the folded flap in place, closing the bag across its entire width and protecting the contents.

This bag is also ideal as a cool-keeping bag because the flap reduces the amount of warm air that can enter or cold air that can escape.

Another advantage of this flap is that the bag can only be carried when the flap is folded over and the handles are exposed; the often common forgetting to close the bag is thus impossible.

Claims (3)

Expectations 1. Paper carrying bag with flat paper handles glued to the outside, glued so low to the front sides that the upper edges of the handles only extend slightly beyond the edge of the bag. Parallel to the top edge of the bag there is a groove across the entire width of the bag and a recess on the top edge of the bag. On the opposite side, an adhesive strip is attached to the inside at the same height as the recess in such a way that when the edge of the bag is folded over, the adhesive strip between the recess can be stuck to the outside wall of the bag, thereby holding the flap down and closing the bag. 2. Carrying bag according to claim 1, characterized in that the bag consists of several layers of paper, also with a plastic or lacquer coating. 3.
