Description

The invention relates to a carrying bag made of plastic film with an injection-molded handle made of plastic.

Such carrying bags are already known and used on the market.

In order to protect the contents from rain and dust, such carrying bags have a protective flap that is placed over the handle as an extension of a side part and is intended to protect the contents.

Experience shows that such bags are often opened again after shopping, and then the flap is usually no longer placed over the handle. Not only does it lose its protective function, it also has a disturbing effect, so that the appearance of the carrier bag suffers (which is also supposed to have an advertising function). Also, especially during peak times, the snap fasteners on the handle are not pressed shut at the packing table in the store, so that the bag remains open and the flap springs open - thus again losing its protective function.

Finally, the injection-molded handle must have a longer welding bar with which it is welded to the bag in order to keep the upper edge rigid and prevent the unsightly tipping of the bag corners.
However, the wider this bridge is, the greater the material used - and the costs.

The object of the invention is to improve such a carrier bag so that it can be closed easily and quickly across its entire width, can also be closed easily and without problems by the consumer (customer), the often unsightly flap that stands up or flaps is eliminated and, despite these advantages, less material is used, which is important with regard to waste reduction and economic efficiency.

According to the invention, this object is achieved in that the welded web of the injection-molded handle is considerably shorter and only slightly longer than the width of the handle. Below the upper edge of the bag and parallel to it, fastening straps are arranged across the entire width of the bag, which can be brought into operative connection to close the bag. This enables the bag to be completely closed across its entire width in a simple manner.

These fastening straps can consist of profile straps that can be interlocked with one another. These stiffen the upper edge of the bag and prevent the unsightly tipping of the bag corners.

Alternatively, the closure tapes can also consist of pressure-sensitive adhesive closure tapes, whereby another alternative can be that the upper edge of the bag is folded inwards and provided with holes on the inside. A pressure-sensitive adhesive tape runs between the two layers (between the outer wall and the folded edge), which only adheres to the opposite edge of the bag with the part of the pressure-sensitive adhesive that is open through the holes.

The advantages of the invention over known bags of this type are:

&ogr; The stiffening of the bag edge by the fastening straps prevents the corners from tipping over, the bag looks more attractive, the printed image is better displayed, and the advertising effect is increased.

&ogr; By eliminating the flap and shortening the handle, the use of materials is reduced. This means a reduction in weight and volume, i.e. less packaging waste, but also lower costs and a reduction in the weight-dependent costs for the "Green Dot" for disposal within the framework of the Packaging Ordinance.

The bag has plastic handles (1) with a short bar, the bag is closed with the opposing professional straps (2, 2a) across the entire width.

Carrying bag made of plastic film with injection-molded handle, characterized in that the welded web of the handle is only slightly wider than the handle itself and that on each side wall below the upper edge of the bag and parallel to it across the entire width of the bag, plastic fastening straps are arranged, which can be brought into operative connection with one another to close the bag. 2. Carrying bag according to claim 1, characterized in that the rigid injection-molded handle has been replaced by flexible loop handles made of plastic. 3. Carrying bag according to claim 1 to 2, characterized in that the closure tapes consist of pressure-sensitive adhesive closure tapes. 4. Carrying bag according to claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the adhesive strip runs between the folded-over upper edge of the bag and its outer wall and acts through holes in the folded-over upper edge of the bag. 5. Carrying bag according to claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the bag has a bottom, for example a bottom fold.
