Bislang besteht die Möglichkeit, bei sportlichen Ereignissen Wetten mit händisch ausgefüllten Wettscheinen abzuschließen und diese in autorisierten Wettannahmebüros abzugeben, wobei eine Ausfertigung des Wettscheins dem Kunden verbleibt. Nach Bekanntwerden der Ergebnisse der Sportveranstaltungen hat der Kunde im Gewinnfall den Wettschein in der Wettannahmestelle zu präsentieren, um den Gewinn ausbezahlt zu erhalten. Ferner gibt es auch Wettmöglichkeiten, bei denen die Wetten unter Zuhilfenahme eines Operators auf elektronischem Wege abgeschlossen werden. Die erfindungsgemäße Logik setzt voraus, daß Wettangebotsdaten wie Liga- und Ereignisdaten zur Verfügung stehen. Wenn er ferner seine Kreditdaten wie maximaler Ausgabenrahmen und jeweiliger Einsatz festlegt, werden aus der logischen Verknüpfung aller Daten Wettdaten gebildet, die in herkömmlicher Weise gespeichert und/oder ausgedruckt werden können. Die Betätigung einer Datenverarbeitungsanlage, der die Programmlogik zugrundeliegt, kann vom Kunden selbständig vorgenommen werden.
