Die Erfindung betrifft eine Hinweisleuchte mit einer Lichtquelle und einer flachen Streuscheibenanordnung zur einseitigen oder beidseitigen Anzeige eines angebrachten Hinweiszeichens wie z.B. Es ist bereits bekannt, solche Leuchten mit einem zentralen Klarsichtkörper herzustellen, der von der Kante her beleuchtet wird und über die großformatigen Seitenflächen Licht abstrahlt. Dadurch ist es möglich, Hinweiszeichen wie z.B. Fluchtwegkennzeichnungen (Piktogramme mit Richtungspfeil) zu beleuchten, die z.B. in an sich bekannter Weise als farbige Folien hergestellt werden und auf einer Opalscheibe als diffus streuende Einrichtung aufgebracht werden. Gemäß Fig. 1 besteht die Streuscheibenanordnung der Hinweisleuchte aus einer zentralen lichttransportierenden Klarsichtscheibe 1 mit an den Seitenflächen angebrachten, gleichmäßig lichtverteüendem, klarsichtigen Medium z.B. einer transparenten Folie, einem Klarlackauftrag, einem Vakuum, einem Gas oder einer klaren Flüssigkeit. Daran schließt sich die opale, lichtstreuende Scheibe 4,5 an, an der schließlich eine Folie 6,7 oder auch eine Beschichtung mit dem Hinweiszeichen z.B. durch Klebeverbindung befestigt ist.
