Im einzelnen veranschaulicht Fig. 1 ein Bettgestell mit seitlichen Rahmenteilen 1, einem am Kopfende angeordneten Rahmenteil 2 und einem am Fußende liegenden Rahmenteil 3. Diese Rahmenteile 1, 2 und 3 bestehen jeweils aus einem Hohlprofilabschnitt 4, der aus Leichtmetall, insbesondere aus Aluminium, oder auch aus einem armiertem Kunststoff bestehen kann. Der auf die jeweils benötigte Länge zuschneidbare Hohlprofilabschnitt 4 hat an seiner Innenseite 5 hinterschnittene Nuten 6, wobei beim dargestellten Ausführungsbeispiel vier solcher Nuten vorgesehen sind, die in Längsrichtung des Profilabschnittes 4 verlaufen und miteinander parallel sind. Je eine solche Nut 6 befindet sich nahe dem Oberrand und dem ünterand des Hohlprofilabschnittes 4, zwei weitere Nuten sind zur Mitte hin gerückt angeordnet, was man insbesondere auch in Figur 2 erkennt. Ferner machen die Figuren 2 und 3 deutlich, daß unter den hinterschnittenen Nuten 6 der Hohlprofilabschnitte 4 solche zu verstehen sind, bei denen von der Öffnungsseite her gesehen sich hinter gegeneinander vorspringenden Stegen 7 ein erweiterter Nutraum befindet, der also gegenüber der zwischen den Stegen 7 sich befindenden Öffnung eine größere Weite hat. Seiten der Hohlprofilabschnitte 4 kann eine Beplankung in Form von Abdeckplatten 36 vorgesehen werden, die man in Figur 4 erkennt. Die Abdeckplatten 36 weisen mittige Rastansätze oder -stege 37 auf, mit denen sie in nach außen öffnende Bohrungen oder Schlitze der Hohlprofilabschnitte 4 eingerastet werden können, die sich beispielsweise im Bereich der Hohlkammer 9 befinden. Die oberen und unteren Kanten dieser Abdeckplatten 36 können die entlang der Ober- und der Unterkanten der Hohlprofilabschnitte 4 angebrachten Randprofile 34 und 35 untergreifen, die dazu mit vorspringenden Stegen eine entsprechende Nut 50 bilden. Im oberen Bereich kann die Montageplatte 31 mittels einer Nietmutter 41 im Bereich einer der Hohlkammern 9 an der Außenseite des Hohlprofilabschnitts 4 zusätzlich festgemacht werden, und an dieser befestigten Montageplatte 39 ist das Kopfteil 40 festgelegt. Danach ergänzen die beiden Dichtplatten 44 und 45, die aus einem gummielastischen Werkstoff bestehen, einander, wobei die eine Dichtplatte 45 mit Dichtlippen 4 6 am Rand die Kanten 47 der anderen Dichtplatte 44 übergreift.
