Abstract

A domestic refrigerator can be converted to produce chilled soda water and other non-alcoholic beverages. A cylinder, filled with water, is placed inside the refrigerator, and connected by a flexible hose to a spring-loaded dispensing tap. This has a connection for carbon dioxide and is mounted in a cubby hole of the refrigerator door. The tap stands high enough to place a beaker underneath. All that is required is a supply of a new door by the refrigerator makers, to take the place of the existing plain door.
