α ist ein Gefäfs (Fafs) von Holz oder Eisen, aus dem die auszuschänkende Flüssigkeit durch jeweiliges Oeffhen eines bei b angebrachten Zapfhahnes abgelassen werden soll. In dem auf das Gefäfs α fest aufgedichteten und aufgeschraubten Rand c liegt ein Gummiring d, dessen Querschnitt so gewählt ist, dafs sich beim Herunterschrauben des eisernen Ringes e mittelst der Schrauben f der den Cylinder g berührende Theil des Gummiringes mehr oder weniger fest gegen diesen andrückt. Da der Gummiring dabei auch gegen den Rand c angedrückt wird, so wird zwischen dem Fafs und dem Cylinder eine Dichtung hergestellt, wobei die Reibung des Cylinders am Dichtungsring mittelst der Schrauben regulirt werden kann. α is a vessel (Fafs) made of wood or iron, from which the liquid to be dispensed is to be drained by opening a tap at b.
